Body for Life Veteran - 3FC Newbie

  • Hi all, I am 34 and live in Phoenix, AZ. I stubbled across this site looking for healthy recipes (which are wonderful by the way) and then started reading the forums. I have never seen a site with so much support and information. I have about 40lbs to lose. Did Body for Life 6 years ago and lost all the weight, got a bad bf and gained it all back. The same 15/20lbs have been lost and gained over the past 5 years. I am married now to a wonderful man who supports me no matter what. My husband comes home in 13 days from Iraq!! and once he gets home we will be working out together. The goal is to be fit and healthy before I get pregnant. I will start the 12 week BFL challenge when he gets home, but have not been able to find anyone doing bfl on this site. And the search feature for the posts isnt working correctly. Any ideas?
  • I'm starting BFL tommorow
Hey maybe we can support each other. I'm starting BFL tommorow, but I've been on 3FC for a little over a year. I've search sites trying to find some support or someone who's done BFL and I've come up with no luck, since your've done it before and I'm starting maybe we can encourage each other.
  • This is the most recent reference to BFL that I could find . . . http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/show...=body+for+life . . . there are more that are older.

When you use the search function put the phrase you are looking for in quotes -- i.e., "Body For Life" and you should find some stuff. the search function isn't good with short words of 4 letters or less.

Good Luck to you both . . .
  • There are lots of BFL veterans who post in the Weight And Resistance Training forum. Even though most of the members aren't currently doing BFL, you would feel right at home with everyone's eating and exercise programs. Please join us!
  • Thanks for the info. I was having major trouble trying to search. I did find a few really good bfl forums. Thanks so much. I have been looking through the 3FC forums and it seems that many many are doing WW. It seems like that isnt something that will work for me. I do really love the forum here, they seem so much more suportive. Anyone doing BFL, please email me.

    Thanks!!!
  • Hi, Fluffy! Just wanted to say congratulations on your husband coming home from Iraq!
  • Thanks Nursing Student. It has been hard. This is his 3rd tour in 3 years and it is hard worrying about him. Hopefully he wont be leaving again in Jan. 09. We'll see. It is so funny, when he is home, I dont overeat, we are constantly busy. There are days when I forget to eat because we are constantly doing something. He gets back in 12 days!!! and then we will be going away for a few days to a b and b to have a romantic getaway, then back for a welcome home party then visit fam and friends. In the last week I have started eating clean again, now that i am not so stressed out and dropped 5 lbs. Either the 3rd or 4th week of May I will be starting my bfl challenge. The goal is to go from a size 14 to a size 7 to get into baby-making shape!!!
