  • Morning all..i actually got up early. Have an apt with my pt this am. So i usually only get up about 10 min early. I decided to try to get up a bit early so I get my body "woken up". i hade coffee and a nice breakfast... I think it has helped. I'm feeling more awake. Alright all..hope everyone is doing well..i'm off to get ready for the gym now.

    Christina, my DS is 18 as of last month and he graduates next month. He's changed his mind about occupations 3 or 4 times in the last year, but I think he's finally found where he belongs.

    Sara, is there a chance you and DH may be able to return to the States soon?

    Well, I gotta be getting the kids out the door, I've got to get big DS ready for his Senior trip today. They are leaving for Indy at 4am tomorrow, and he informed me this morning that he really could use a new pair of dress pants dince they are going on some semi formal dinner cruise. I didn't know they did dinner cruises in New York. Who would want to float around in their waters? So, on top of my already long to do list I have to add to it a trip to Kohls. Great!! Check in later.

  • Good morning all! My dr. appt went well yesterday. She believes that the lumps I found were period related so she is going to check them again on the 7th. WHEW! I had prepared myself for the worst, hoped for the best and that is what I got!!
    Trish, can you believe son is about to be heading off for college already? My daughter is about to go into 7th grade and that blows my mind! How quickly time flies huh? Good luck getting all you need to do done today! I have so much to do, I will be lucky to get a fraction of it completed!
    GG, hope your PT session goes well, do you have the day off today? or do you have to go in after you work out? Have a good day!!
    I need to get laundry going, then the bathrooms, the floors, the kitchen... somedays I feel like cinderella! lol

  • Good mornin' everyone! Just got back from carrying my son to school, my 3 yr old DD is watching Curious George and I need to be doing anything but being on the computer..........lol!! Have had 130 calories so far this morning. Hopin for a GREAT day eating!

    Sara, I must say I envy living in a place with BAD donuts! LOLOL My kids beg me for the almost everytime we go to the store........With donuts, it doesn't matter if you're hungry or not.....it's hard to be strong!!

    So far, sounds like everyone else is busy, busy today too. Ahhh, life! Hope today is good to everyone. Be strong, eat wisely!!

  • I had to jump back on and share my good news!! We've been back "at it" (on the wagon re: food) since Sunday and I've already lost back down to what I had lost down to when I left here last time. I'm pretty excited!! I know it's probably all fluid (although I take a fluid pill for my blood pressure, so maybe it's not ALL fluid), but to see the scale moving in the right direction is enough to make me sooooo very happy! Down is so WAYYY better than up! I'm struggling with hunger issues today though. It's 9:30 am and I've had what I planned to have for lunch already because I was hungry....probably because I had two graham crackers at 7:30 this morning and that's all. Hopefully I can stay busy enough to stay outta the kitchen today!

  • ps delta dawn, you haven't lost 28 lbs since December 07, have you??? If so, YOU SERIOUSLY ROCK!!! (You still rock even if it's taken longer than that......that's an awesome amount of weight to have lost....I used to weigh 260 myself....now I stand around 228....it's hard to do it!!)

    I'm a little sore today but I ran last night and I ran on Monday after work...I'll be running again today probably during lunch. I was good with dinner last night and had a healthy omelette for b-fast today. The bf said I looked more toned...but my pants aren't any looser yet, heh. I've been serious for about a week now and I hope to keep it up.

    Frank was home sick from work today...that NEVER happens. Had to go food shopping and watch my nephew, Off to another bellydancing class tonight. Have one more next week then off till June, I don't know what I'm gonna do...I'll miss it so much!!


    diana...good for you on the loss!!! You're doing great, keep it up!!

  • Hi, everyone. Well, everday this week we've eaten our supper before 6 pm....combined with the longer daylight, I think it's making a difference. We had stewed deer meat, boiled red potatoes and cabbage for supper. I had a weight watcher fudge bar for dessert. I'm satisfied, but scared that by bed time I'll be getting hungry. Still have a couple of points to play with, though....can always pop some popcorn to watch with TV later.

    Deltadawn, even if it took you a year, it's still lbs gone! We'll take what we can get, huh?
  • morning all...today's workout was good. I decided i haven't lost much weight..but its because of my food. I NEED to get better eating and NOW!!!! i want to loose about 15 lbs before a wedding in mid june. Work was ****. I'm glad i did my workout this am because i'm wiped out. Crabby clients, lots of sick pets. Ugghh days like this make me wonder why i'm a vet. Oh well..i have Sat and sunday off this week. So as long as i can make it thr friday..its all good.

  • Howdy chicks!

    Didn't get much accomplished today, had one doozy of a headache which just a little while ago ebbed a bit. After I confessed and pleaded with God to give me relief, who says prayer doesn't work? Anyway, I'm feeling better but now I'm freaking out because I don't have DS packed yet and he's at the girlfriends house and won't be home til late and obviously he's not gonna want me to pack his clothes. Sounds to me like its gonna be a late, late night. Didn't really eat much today cuz I felt poopy, but when I did eat it was horrible stuff that honey pie got for me so I wouldn't have to move, such as a coney dog, onion rings, and diet coke from the local rootbeer stand. I thought I felt bad before, UGH! He's not much of a supporter with this weight loss thing, calls me crazy. I'll show him crazy when I'm one hot tamale.

    Delta, DS's trip starts early in the morning and they will be back in the wee hours Tues am. They're going to D.C. to start with and then to New York. Wish I could go, but I have too many kids to take off and there's that flying thing.

    Diana, Where's The Beef? Seriously, where's the protein, where's the good quality fiber (ie. whole grains)? No wonder you're hungry. I do best when I eat 6 small meals a day. I know everyone is different, but girlie, 2 graham crackers does not make a good breakfast. You're body needs fuel to run properly. I got some good information out of the YOU: On A Diet book. it explains why your body sometimes stalls when trying to lose weight, because people stop eating and then their bodies will shut down burning the fat and start storing it up. If you can check it out, its good stuff. You gotta eat to live, but you don't have to live to eat.

    Pam, have you seen "Shimmy"? its on FIT tv, its belly dancing. Maybe that can get you through til June.

    Gotta go pace the house til Josh gets home and I have a purpose in life again, he seems to think I live to serve him and that I'll be lost when he's gone. If he only knew......
