Stuborn Fats

  • Hello...

I feel I have very stuborn fats in my body, that it refuses to melt down.. can anyone help in directing me on the best ways to increase my lose of bofy fat?
  • What sort of eating plan are you following? When did you begin? Are you doing any form of exercise? If so, what kind?
  • Hi Sharry! The "good" news is that you aren't alone -- fat IS stubborn! (I know, that's not really good news...)

A combination of a diet that results in a calorie deficit and cardiovascular exercise are a good fat-burning combination. Lots of us have added weight training, because adding muscle burns more calories, and helps tone us!

But it's not a fast process... finding a sustainable plan that works for you can involve some trial and error and then, it just takes a while!
  • To add to the great advice that Heather gave you, I'll just say that reducing your OVERALL weight, WILL result in FAT loss. We simply can't spot reduce. It's gotta come from everywhere.

So yes, just STICK with a good healthy plan, create a calorie deficit, exercise and the weight and hence the fat, WILL come off.
  • And it is imperative to exercise while losing. You will lose more body fat, but if you don't you will also lose muscle.
  • Thanks for the advice...

I have a diet plan of 1400 calorie, by my dietitian, and I walk uphill for an average of 35 minutes 6 times a week.

I use Reductil, prescribed by my doc. to help loose the fat.
I can't do more exercise now, have two children under 2yrs, and work 8hours a day... so my time is really limited.
  • I have stubborn fat also. It's been there since the 1970s and has attachment issues with my belly!
