Any particular diet?

  • Is anyone trying any particular diet or plan while nursing?
  • I am watching and trying to reduce carbs as well as avoiding unhealthy foods and just trying to exercise more. I have a hard time keeping track of calories online with the little one's, never seems like I have time, although when I do it, it always helps.
  • I am calorie counting and trying to eat balanced nutrition. I'm trying to eat the required 5-9 servings of fruits and veggies and lots and lots of whole grains. Eating balanced nutrition fills me up so much I don't want to overeat! I think that you could do that, especially when nursing, and lose weight.
  • When I lost the weight from my last baby, I was doing the reduced calorie/increased exercise program from Curves and it worked very well.
  • I'm not there yet but my plan is to go high protein, high veg, small, frequent meals.
  • I'm just aiming to eat smarter (healthier choices and snacking less) and move more.

After my first I had some pretty good success with Weight Watchers but I eventually got sick of tracking everything I ate.
  • I'm using Weight Watchers. As of now I like it. It helps make me be accountable for what I eat and they have a plan for nursing mothers. I'm also trying to eat more fruits and veggies everyday as well which the plan encourages.
