aqua fit

  • Does anyone do aqua fit classes? I LOVE them. I have so much fun. I started going in Jan and I go 3 times a week. Well I did go 3 times a week, I have to cut it back to only 2 times now because they changed the times and I cant get to the friday one anymore.

    Anyway, anyone else?
  • Love 'em
  • Yes I love the aquacize classes at our Y. I do both deep water and shallow water classes. It's my favorite exercise!

  • MIne too, I like the shallow water better then the deep. You really get a good work out in and it is always different which keeps it fun.
  • I'm glad to see this post. I've been hemming and hawing about joining the Y for 2 years so I could join th aqua aerobics class. Basically I don't want to get my hair wet becasue it's a big chore once I get out the pool .

Second I really really need to get in the pool because I have arthritis in both my knees and just walking on my treadmill kills me.

Now here is the answer I need to push me over the edge and go sign up.

CAN I REALLY LOSE WEIGHT FROM WATER AEROBICS
. I'm on vacation this week and I just may go sign up.........ok I really need a push......
  • My favorite - I think they are super fun! I wish I could make aqua fit more often than once a week or so.

I have never done a water aerobics class, though I would love to...but you shouldn't have a problem if you wear a swim cap. As far as can you lose weight - ABSOLUTELY! It's like running and moving in something thicker than air, ya know? You'd have to work harder. And your knees could totally do it easier than the treadmill.
