16 weeks tomorrow

  • Hello all!

Need some encouragement here... At tomorrows meeting I will get my Stay & Succeed award. The only problem is, I'm actually quite embarrassed to get my S&S before I get my 10%.... I've been having a hard time since the holidays with getting back on track, I've gained and lost the same 1.2 pounds for 2 months.... Have done a little better this week and think I should be down 2, but still not at 10%.

I'm not giving up, but want to burry my head in the sand for tomorrow!
  • Well done diet diva! You've stuck with it for a lot longer than many people do with their plans. As long as you're going in the right direction, I don't see why you should be embarrassed about being recognized for your dedication. I've been on WW for about 7 weeks or so and it's the longest I've ever stuck with a 'diet' though I am no longer seeing it as one. Congratulations, and keep up the good work! Perhaps getting your award will help you jump back into the mindframe you had before the holidays. You never know what it might take to just give you a bit of a kick in the pants
  • diva! That's an accomplishment, even with 8 week @work sessions, something would come up that I'd miss a meeting, so making 16 in a row is great! You'll get to your 10%, because you are making a commitment to a lifestyle change by not quitting going to your meetings.

Be proud of every award you earn, it's hard work for every one!!
  • you are not giving up thats what counts!! keep it up!
  • I chickened out! I did go, but I didn't speak up at awards time. May be next week! I did have a loss this week! Now I'm 16.8 for 16 weeks and feeling a little better!

    Thanks to all!
  • Don't chicken out this coming week. This is an award for the time & effort you've put into this! It's a memento to yourself, that you're doing this for the long-haul! Go, be proud that you're sticking with this, and get that award!
  • *scratches head* I haven't heard of the Stay & Succeed award. Is it one of those things they give you to put on your 10% keychain? Just to show you sticked (er, stuck) with it for 4 months?

DD, you should definitely be proud of sticking with your program this long. That is a fantastic achievement no matter how much you've lost during that time -- the point is overall you're down and you're still there! It's a fantastic accomplishment!!
  • I agree with these ladies, and you should definitely stand up and be proud and claim your award next time!!
  • Congratulations to you! That's 16 pounds GONE! Awesome! Think of how happy your body is...and how, since you're not throwing it into starvation mode, those 16 pounds are much more likely to STAY gone! Great job!!

That award sounds neat (I'm doing WW Online, so I get most of my warm fuzzies here) -- I hope you go claim it next week!

Pretty much! Just a little encouraging award to give people along the way. They found that people who can stick with it for 16 weeks are much more likely to continue with their program (and therefore get the weight off!). It was actually something I wanted when I joined! I had a countdown to when I'd get that Stay & Succeed award ^^
  • Thanks All! I did it! I spoke up and got my Stay & Succeed last night. Your right it felt good! This is the first time is my attempts at WW to stick with it this long at one time without restarting somewhere along the way. The leader was right, I AM WORTH IT!

  • Well done!!!

  • Diva!! That's awesome, like Faerie's avatar says "~*Perseverance*~"!
