I think thats what they are called. Whats a good weight to start with? I stopped jogging for a while because I have no sidewalks out here to really do this safely at. But I have a friend who has 2 acres of land (plus a paved circular drive way unsure of the distance) that I am fixing to start jogging/walking at. And I have heard using jogging weights (hand held) can help build some arm muscles and help burn more cals. So whats a good weight to start with.
I've used wrist band weights that are one pound each, and those are fairly comfortable. I think I got them for maybe $10 at Marshalls - not too pricey at all.
I have some wrist weights that allow you to work with the weight. They go up to 5 pounds each, or down to 1 by removing or adding the weights into the pockets of the band. I believe I got them at Wal*Mart, but not sure. If you can find something like that, you could experiment for what works comfortably for you.
