Default Bowling Pins

Hi Exercise Pals -

I recently had a memory of something I haven't thought of in probably 20 years - It was about that long ago that I went to an aerobics class that I just loved, in a different part of the country (so I have no idea if they are still doing it) but it was not choreographed-fancy-dancy like they tend to be now. And the thing I remembered is that for a couple of the songs in the class we would use bowling pins. You hold them up, smash them together during the beat of the song, everyone is making those slam noises with their pins on the beat. You can just hold them out and smash them together or hold one up, one down, both up, smash together under your high-kicked leg, etc. Lots of possibilities. It was so much more fun than just holding those little barbells that you can't smash together. And it was a killer exercise!! I don't think I ever enjoyed getting such a good workout as much as those classes! Anyway, I just got on ebay and ordered two bowling pins. I have hardly any room at home for this but at the gym I go to they don't care if you use the exercise class studios when there is not a class going on. So I have my itunes on my iphone and earphones and soon I'll have my bowling pins, and all I have to do is get over the slight fear factor of people opening the door and laughing and pointing. Ha. I don't think I'm too afraid! If they do that, at least I can have some satisfaction in knowing I provided them with some amusement.

That's interesting. I have never heard of that. You'll have to let us know how it goes!
