    Discuss.
  • OMG I know all of those songs but like 1..WOW am I a child of the late 70's early 80's or what??? I loved them all but they missed one very important one

"Baby's got back" by Sir Mix A LOT (another classic IMO)

I would love to have them all on a CD set or something
  • YEAH StillTryin, I agree, Baby Got Back is a CLASSIC!

I know almost all those songs, too, though I grew up mostly in the 90's (born in '86).

I love 80's music, though, especially the rock, punk, and metal.
  • According to wikipedia, Baby Got Back is from 1992, so no-go on the 80's list.

I think it is shocking that while I know almost all of these songs, one that I have NEVER heard of is in the top ten! (That would be the Hall and Oates one.) Plus, I like "Hungry Like the Wolf," but it just is not better than "Billie Jean."
  • I LOVE THAT ONE! An Baby, let me tell you - I got enough 'back' to cover a whole multitudes of backs! My hubby cringes every time one of those countdown comes on, because i make him watch to see how many i know...the sad thing is...the one about soft rock songs - I KNEW THEM ALL and I'm only 26! haha! my parents raised me to have a very eclectic appreciation for all things (almost) music.
  • Boy, what memories! What smiles that list brought to me. The 80's were awesome. I still love that music!!!!
Def Leppard! Such hot, sexy music. (Don't tell my kids I said that!!!)

  • Know all these songs and love about 90% of them, lol. I think it would be a GREAT CD set for sure! Never cared for Debbie Gibson, Wang Chung, Van Halen, Guns N Roses...those darn shorts killed me! and a couple others but the rest is all good!
  • LOL Slashnl, I got turned off by Def Leppard when I saw a video of them, because the singer had a mullet and was wearing a wifebeater and looked so NOT sexy! Still love the song though.
  • Hey Shane,
My oldest was born in May of '86!
As far as the songs go - hmmmmmm - I graduated from high school in 1973 and finished up college in '77 so that would be my list I Suppose!!! The 70's!!
    LORI
  • WOW I didnt realize that baby got back was that new....I just know I have heard it forever..lol
  • I believe that "Video Killed the Radio Star" should be an honorary 80's song, since it really only became popular in 1981 after it was played on MTV. But technically the song is from 1979 so they are excused from not including it.
  • Only ONE Hall & Oates??? You gotta be kiddin' me! They WERE the eighties!!!

And Daryl Hall is STILL a hunk, ladies!!! He's 61, and not one of the young guys can touch him!
  • Not one NEIL DIAMOND song on the list....not one.....

it is obvious that this list is counterfeit....just plain ridiculous!
  • Gary.......it's songs from the 80's, not songs sung by 80 year olds
  • Know them? Heck my iPod has...
