Introducing Myself

  • I've been lurking around for a few days, but I though that I would finally take an opportunity to make my introduction.

He's a little about me. I'm 29 years old. I started gaining weight when I was about 20 when I started to work sedentary jobs. I was thin all my life. I was diagnosed with PCOS at 22 when I failed to get pregnant after a few years of marriage. I was treated with glucophage and got pregnant in 3 months! Well, then after the birth I got down to my goal weight of 158. Unfortunately, as soon as I stopped nursing after 9 months and went back to work it came back with a vengeance. I am now 225. Unfortunately, it has aggravated the PCOS again, and I have suffered 2 miscarriages. I don't want to get anyone down, but it has also thrown off my cycles as well. Plus, anyone with PCOS know about the acnes, oily skin, excess hair (embarrassing).

I have the option to get back on glucophage or do something about my weight, and I choose to do something about my weight. Send me a note. I'm always here.

Oh, hobbies: Knitting is my big thing! I also sew clothing and scrapbook.
  • Hi SapphireBlue!

PCOS is just terrible. I had a "PCOS-like" syndrome, though it was atypical so we're not sure on the diagnosis...all I know is that lowering my weight brought my cycles back to normal again. But MAN, losing the weight was difficult...it is hard enough already without the added challenge of PCOS!

My friend is currently knitting me a scarf with a DNA double helix instead of a standard cable. Love it! I wish I could knit but my hands are just too clumsy.

Can't wait to hear more from you soon!

  • Hey Sapphire
