I had my one Year appt on Wednesday. It went well. He was Not impressed with losing 18 since my last appointment. He said " Well it's a little bit."
I've got to open my WL window a bit wider and get back into fighting mode. With the seasonal body pain back with a vengeance I've been eating more "comfort food"
Comfort be damned!
Keeping the bread in the fridge so I don't see it!
Do you all still use Protien shakes? I was thinking of getting the Atkins Premade. just for a fast Meal/boost
Also he said "You need to Poop" So I tried SF Citrucel for the first time tonight and it tastes like Tang!
I was pretty pleased. Going to have some more water too
It was the kick in the arse that I needed! Bring on the next 6 months!

18 gone is better than 18 gained (I should know that). OH, and instead of Citrucel, maybe try magnesium. 600 mg at bedtime helps you sleep and in the morning, you'll go. Don't take too much or it will have a very explosive result!! Google it. Magnesium is natural. It's also helps with aches and pains and really gets you to fall asleep fast!!
kier honey - let's look at a few facts here. YOU'RE CLOSE TO GOAL!!!! and everyone in the world knows that weight loss slows the closer you get. soooo, although improving your focus is probably a very sensible thing to do, how about not getting hung up on the 'only' 18 pounds??? please??? pretty please?????
having said that - the single best thing i've found to help with poopage is veggies. and small amounts of very unprocessed granola [i get the Bob's red mill something or other in shoprite - where i get absolutely everything!].
and protein shakes. well, i've returned to them as well. having one in the morning seems to be the absolute key for controlling the extra eating during the day. still using nectar. and this morning, i mixed it into some FF greek yogurt - and it was DIVINE.
as for the pre-made, i used the EAS low carb ones for awhile, but they get pricy.
whatever you end up doing, i KNOW it'll be the right thing for you!!!! congratulations on such wonderful progress!!!!

Hey Kristen:
Thanks for the input I have magnesium somewhere in my wacko kitchen so I'll try that in addition.
Jiff:
I know I know! but I figured 6 months to lose 20 lbs ish is pretty reasonable that's 3 lbs a month or so. for right now I'm going to focus on making good choices and getting water and protien. and knee and hips allowing exercise.
And getting the Crap out of my house!
Is there a website for Nectar? I love FF Greek Yogurt its so sinful! yet not
The EAS ones make me kinda Nauseous. I'm going to check out the Nectar and see if they have Atkins at BJs
Maybe if I don't drink it in the can I won't want to hurl!
Thanks for the input ladies!!
Kierie
i get mine at the vitamin shoppe. will try to see if there's a nectar website. but today's a busy one at work.
soooo glad you have your head on straight about all these issues!!!!! you're FABULOUS!!!!

KO, I had a terrible time with constipation for a while after having my surgery. I started taking 1 fish oil capsule a day and I haven't had any problem since.
