Thanks for starting us up,
Kim, though I wish you could get more sleep!

An afternoon snoozer sounds perfect! Can I join you?
Wow,
Cat, sounds like a heck of a day.

I'm so sorry about your friend's daughter. That's awful!

It does seem to hit us harder when the one involved is similar in age to one we love, doesn't it? Congrats on the new computers, though!
Ah,
Ruthie, you are just one incredible lady! Nothing holds you down for long.

Your soak sounds wonderful and I could just kiss your friend John for doing something that sweet for you and Lucy. You will let us know how we can donate if we want, right?

Not that our American dollars are worth much in Canadian currency lately!

Grr... Enjoy the day to yourself and the sewing...sounds divine!!! Loved the picture...it does seem that the trees are changing a bit early this year, doesn't it?
Cottage, you are such an inspiration for the way you can pick up, dust yourself off, and get back on the wagon!

I know you can do it!!!
Wow,
KO, you are a star!!!

What a fantastic event you are organizing...such hard work and for such a good result. YGG!!
Schmoodle, you sound pretty darn busy! Have fun at the track!
Pacer, I think you have done pretty darn well with your yoga...don't beat yourself up! You're doing so well at reclaiming your health!!!

After all, Madonna was supposed to have slimmed down entirely on yoga exercising!
Me:
Well, went in to the nutrition clinic yesterday--apparently the exercise is helping, since I built muscle and lost fat, but my weight didn't go down overall, and that's pretty frustrating.

I should have measured myself at my highest, but I didn't...and if I do it now, the only thing I have to compare it to is what I measured when I was 40 pounds lighter!

I'd love to go by how my clothes are fitting, but they're not really much looser.

Oh well...we decided that I'd try to knock out 200 calories a day in hopes that will help. My counselor is afraid that if we take out more than that I'll feel deprived and end up eating more...but I keep thinking at that rate, I'll be losing less than a 1/2 lb per week!

I know...I need to buck up and deal! Hopefully the work I'm doing with protein and exercise, combined with the extra muscle, will help my metabolism work better.
Normal day--work, gym, make and eat dinner, head to my 'food and mood' therapy group. I'm just looking forward to sleep!
Have a GREAT day, chicks!

We're enjoying a strange 'late summer' here complete with 80+ temps and trees that are changing colors. Weird, but nice!
