Hi everyone,I had my appt with the surgeon yesterday,It went very
well.I saw Dr.lee,he was happy with everything,my weight etc.So then
he
had me feel out paperwork,and said he will see me soon.He said about
2
months wait right now,but when I turned my paperwork in at the
desk,the
lady said they are full,won't be until January.SO I guess I have to
sit
and be patient until I hear from them when my surgery date is. I am
alittle concerned with the holidays coming up,but I will just have to
take it odat,and keep losing until my date.

kim - this is wonderful news!!!!!! what did the doc say that you had to do between now and the surgery? any other doc visits?

the time will go quickly - honest! and, maybe, just MAYBE, there will be a cancellation. i was actually scheduled for surgery 3 weeks later than i had it - someone had a cold and had to cancel, so my surgeon moved me into the slot!!! i was very very grateful for that.

Hi Jiffypop,thanks so much for your support and kind words.Maybe I will luck out and get in sooner. I can't wait to get the call where they offer me the surgery date.

The surgeon said keep on losing weight.He said he pushes his patients,he said keep challenging myself with my exercise to do more.He believes that is a big key for getting the weight off and keeping it off.

I asked the lady who schedules the appt,what happens with the other appts I need,she said I will start getting them when I am scheduled for surgery.There are classes Kaiser has you do before surgery to to get ready,I am happy about that.Then I will meet with the anesthiologist,nurse and the tour of the hospital before surgery and more blood work,yikes.

It looks like all the tests they had me do months ago,will have to be redone,because they want it to be within 6 months and my 6 months is about now.Oh well gotta do what you gotta do.

I go to monthly support groups at kaiser for surgery,and I go to a weekly support group for people who have had wls or are going to have it.
