Hello ! Happy Labor Day! Hope you're all out enjoying grilled goodies, staying on plan, enjoying the weather.
So my official Labor day weigh out was 230....pretty good, I'd lost about 15 pounds in that eight weeks. So for the next eight, I'll aim to see 219. I'll be happy to drive thru the 220s.
When, oh when, will I realize I'm not 20 years old anymore? This weekend was so exciting, SIL from Columbus wanted to take Rachel for the weekend, go to the zoo, swimming, lots of fun activities. So MIL said Robert could come for a sleepover at her house too. Kid free weekend! So Saturday night was bowling league and afterwards a bunch of us wanted something to go do, so we invited everyone over for a poker game at our house. (about 15 of us?) and OMG I of course had TOO much to drink. Hangover city the next day. LOL I did get to see that dehydrated weigh in, like 225 Sunday morning. But back to normal this morning.
Oh I bowled really good....188,221, got a little drunker then, 106! BAH! Yeah, yeah whatever.
Oh and I'm halfway through the 1/2 blood Prince, am so loving it and already mourning the end of the series.
Well, I'm happy to see the new faces, the old faces, can't wait to catch up with all of you. xooxxoo Michelle
My current weight as of this morning is 203.5 (but I'm sure it's higher now after this picnic I went to...kinda went a lil crazy on the grilled chicken but at least all I had for the day pretty much was grilled chicken and salad)
My goal is to lose 16 pounds by Halloween, bringing me to (let me pull out the pen and paper) a goal weight of 187.5...it's kind of crazy to think of being that weight right now, but I can totally do it.
If I stay the course on this challenge, I will enter one-derland, no longer be in the classification of overweight, and be only 12.5 pounds away from my final goal. That's definetly my motivation to never give up and to keep on going.
This is a chance for a fresh start, a new beginning. And you better belive I'm ready for it. And if I start slacking, give me a swift kick in the rear.
I weighed out at 160 suprise supries I hope to be at 158 by Halloween (little goals are big ones for me!)
My workout plan is this: on my 12 hour days get up early and do 20 minute pilates. On my Off days go to the gym and do a cardio workout 30 minutes (until I build up my stamina). I will also do weights 3 times a week.
Food wise will probably stay the same (I eat alot of small things throughout the day:
morning: protien powder in my coffee
1st break: lite and fit yogurt
2nd break: protein shake
3rd break: lean cuisine
4th break: salad (w/lemon juice and pepper) and string cheese
5th break: v8 (4 oz)
leaving work 10 carrots
dinner: small portions
I know it seems like I am eating all the time, but I am eating 1200-1400 calories daily.
I am definately getting my water in now too. I am hoping my body jump starts weight loss again. But I am cool with just staying on plan and exercising. If I do I will be healthier at any rate.
todays weed
W64 oz
E 20 minutes pilates and weights
E 1400 cals
D get in WEE/ I put on a pair of jeans that were tight last year August I was a little suprised when I took three steps and they fell off my hips.
Hi everyone! I'm in on this challenge! I love halloween, it is one of my favourite holidays, and my goal is to be down 15 pounds in the next 8 weeks. It will be a challenge, but its the push I need to focus on healthier eating and exercise. Hope to chat with you all later!
I don't weigh in til Friday, but I think I did pretty good today (well yesterday, it's after midnigh) I didn't have the chance to exercise, but I did drink my 12 glasses of water and my calorie intake was around 1350. A good start, but I will definately start exercising again.
1) Post here every day, unless I am on a road trip for volleyball to keep me on track.
2) Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water a day.
3) Do 30 min of jogging 3 times a week, and 3 resistance workouts per week in addition to volleyball practice. On days where I have a volleyball match, I will complete a modified workout for the day so that I am not tired for the match.
4) Follow the Slim Fast Optima diet plan to the tee whenever possible, but be prepared to be flexible with other healthy choices when this is not possible.
5) No pizza. It's my weakness and one of my trigger foods so I am going to give it up for this challenge. Two months without pizza? I can totally do it. And once I reach my challenge goal I will reward myself with a slice.
Thats about it. Now here is my WEED for the day:
W- 8-10 glasses
E- Slim Fast Optima diet
E- I'm going into the gym for a resistance workout after my class gets out this morning at 10. It's a date I made with myself.
D- It's a new challenge and a new start. I can do this!
Good luck to everyone else starting out. We can do this...one week at a time.
Hi eveyone. I'm in! My goal is to reach my goal by Halloween! I weigh 148 but it's fluctuating right now because of TOM. I hope to go beyond my goal by then and lose 10 lbs., putting me at 138. Yikes! That would be awesome! I'll be very happy to be at 140 since I plateau more often than I can count and these last pounds are the hardest and most stubborn of all.
My plan is to...
1. Drink more water.
2. Lay off the wine!
3. Exercise 4-5 times a week.
4. Eat more veggies and fruits.
Good luck to all!

Hi, I'd like to join in. Love, Love, this time of year and can't believe it will be Halloween in 8 weeks. I'm looking forward to lots of soups and pumpkin recipes. My goal is to get somewhere in the 230's. I'd love to get to 236 that would be 20 lbs but I'll be happy to see 230 anything. I also want to lose another inch in the waist. I have a lot of unhealthy fat there.
I had a great Labor Day dinner. Grilled Boca Burger with laughing cow cheese, tomato, onion, lettuce on a whole wheat English muffin, grilled asparagus with lemon and parmesan cheese, grilled sweet potato fries, and watermelon. Yum! I'm following You on a Diet and Super Foods.
'Morning, to all you new & returning WEED'ers! Can't believe I'm awake - the body clock is switched over to days just in time to return to the night shift grind! Finishing up some housework/paperwork and then headed to the Y for some weights & maaaay get in the just opened pool - have my trusty size XXXXXXLG swimsuit at the ready - hoping it fits better than it did over the summer!
Congrats nchellie on your 15lb loss!!! I'm glad I'm not the only one to keep getting hit by the Beer Truck on here. Drank a few on the river Sat. - think it stalled my final w/i and also killed the anti-biotic I'm on - but still done good, methinks. (July 16th: 248#---Sept. 3rd: 222!) w00t! Tx so much for organizing the W.O.W. Halloween Challenge! Your summary of W.E.E.D. in the Invitation Thread is so well-written and worth another look for anyone wanting to get focussed.
I finished HP-Deathly Hallows yesterday. Found a neat web site for discussion of all the books/movies last night: www.diagonally.org for anyone interested - they have a section for reading along each chapter among tons of discussion/questions - very careful about spoilers so is kewl.
Also read on the web last night about C25k/Cool Running . . . and thinking this may become a long term goal of mine. Remember how rowdybliss wanted to run someday? And now is thinking of being a trainer?
For now, there is WEED! My goal for this Challenge is to continue OP eating and increasing exercise as I can. I've entered TBLoser Challenge (even tho' I've never seen the show!) for some extra motivation to get down to under 200lbs by - that'll be 23lbs.
Where are ya freeqeeG? LET'S DO THIS, RIGHT?
W: 100oz
E: Stay OP with a bit more fiber
E: Upper Body Circuit/hopefully The Pool & walking
D: Try not to be overwhelmed that I didn't get the #'s together for The Proposal - you'll have plenty of time during the shift to start the report.
Hi all, just back from the gym YAY! Welcome to you new WEEDers! I forgot to mention, my above eating plan is while I am at work I usually cut out a couple of things on my off days, but it is easier to over do it on the calories on my off days.
Todays weed
W80 oz
E 45 minutes done
E1200 cals
D Day off so Pay bills
Just back from the first day of school. No kids yet, but all of the faculty and staff. It was so much fun hearing all of the compliments regarding my weight loss. The Labor Day Challenge was a god-send. On to the Halloween Challenge.
I'm going for 15 by Halloween, but I'd really like to lose 20. The biggest challenge is going to be getting up early enough to do the treadmill before school. What a sacrifice - 40 minutes a day in exchange for a gorgeous body someday!
Today's WEED:
W: 48 oz
E: 30 min. on treadmill done
E: totally on program (Fat Smash Phase 1)
D: Organizing schedule to fit in treadmill and making a bag lunch each day
Michelle and aud: I've kept quiet for so long, but I just can't anymore. Are you into the HP movies as well as the books? I got to spend some time with Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy in the movies, a few weeks ago. TOTALLY nice kid! (And much cuter than he appears on screen )
Well, I started out the Labour Day Challenge at 157, dropped to 154 and ended up back up to 157 by Labour Day.
Try, try again.
Good to see some new faces and of course, real glad to see the old faces. I am so happy for all of you that have managed to drop so much weight this last challenge.
Hmm, last challenge I hoped to lose 10 pounds, and proceeded to lose none of it in the end. So, how to proceed?
It has been a learning experience for me with regards to what I can realistically expect to lose. If I only have 17 pounds to lose, I have decided to take 15% of that as my new goal weight for Halloween. That is 2.5 pounds. I will up the goal to 3 pounds by Halloween. This will be an interesting challenge for me as I know that 154 is doable, because I did reach it last challenge. What I wasn't able to do was maintain it. So, when I reach 154 again, my goal will be to maintain that up to Halloween.
So, jcatron243, looks like we're up to similar challenges. Race yuh!
My plan for this challenge? Starting tomorrow, follow the Fit For Life eating program from Day 1 through to Day 28 and start it all over again for the next 28 days. Continue drinking 64 oz of water a day and exercising 6 days a week. Add in ab work after each work-out. Check in each morning.
I'm actually proud of myself today. Didn't breakdown and eat the bag of oreos that are in the cabinet. I ate less today and I'm not even hungry.
W- reached goal of 12 glasses
E- 30 minutes of Turbo Jam, 20 minutes of cardio and 10 minutes of weigh lifting
E- stayed completely OP and stayed within my target range of 1300-1500 cals. And I ate fish... that's a big deal.
D- Was able to get my laundry done
alright carolyn! I hope we both reach our goals!!!
musictchr, thats too cool about meet Tom Felton!! (I too love the HP series and I am so sad there wont be another book!) Isn't it nice to have people notice your weighloss?! when I see people who I haven't seen since before I had Makenna (4 years ago), its a WOW!. Back then I was 200 pounds.
ButterflyDiva: great job staying away from those oreos!
_______________
I have been able to (comfortably) wear my skinny jeans for a while now, so why do I still look at them and cringe? not because I want to be lower, but I still feel like if I try they will be too tight? HMMM, I have to retrain my mind!
Hey Michelle, Yesterday Tommy PEE'd on the Potty!!!!!! he came up to me and said POOPOO so we tried and he did it!! (he will be 2 next month!!) I am so proud!
Okie Dokie WEED for the day
W 64 oz
E20 minutes (done)
E 1300 cals
D I wanted to go to the gym after work, but my sister is having daycare issues so after work I am sitting for her. So I guess my D will be to take a brisk 20 minute walk on one of my breaks!
As per my challenge commitment, I am checkin' in this morning.
W - 64 oz. E - Fruit till noon
V8 juice, Salad with chick peas for lunch
V8 juice, Vegetable soup, Salad and Tilapia Fish for dinner
Fruit for snacks Is a chocolate cookie and crackers with butter considered to be fruit???!!! AARGH! E - Weights and yoga NOPE, didn't do it. AARGH!! D - If I get a craving that is off plan, I will drink a glass of water and wait 10 minutes. Hopefully, the craving will have passed. Tried. I really did.
Jeni - Yeah! No more diapers!
ButterflyDiva - I'm going to channel your OP day from yesterday. Hope it works!
musictchr - No kids at school on the first day? How did you swing that? Oh, I guess it's because the school schedule of going to music class and gym class hasn't started yet, eh?
aud Did you do the pool? How did the bathing suit fit?
fitin2008 - Judging by how the other ladies did that are in the 200 range, you should meet your goal. Right, Michelle and aud?
feelingroovy and leantoinette - Ambitious goals for this challenge! I'll be watching your progress like a hawk. If you manage to reach your goals, then I have no excuses anymore!
glitterlicious - I'll be channeling you too, if you don't mind!!
