Last April 2006, I stepped on the scale at my DD's 9 month doctor's appointment and I looked down at 198 lbs. I am 5'5"! I was tired and out of shape!
I was so shocked! I had always claimed I would never go passed 160 but there I was staring down at practically 200. In the succeeding months I ate better and went for long walks, tried pilates and aerobics (every other day). By December (with fluctuations in activity and in diet) I had gotten down to 175...still 15 lbs from my 160 goal.
I have moved twice since December. Life has been so hectic with two little ones, work, chores, moving and such I just do not feel up to working out! It is really hard to find the time but not only that I would say that is my one true down fall. I am lazy when it comes to working out. I have always been weak jointed and clumsy, add that in with the fact that since having my two girls my C bra is now a DD. All of which makes me dread working out. When I say clumsy I truly mean it...I've had 3 broken arms and multiple sprained ankles as well as a stress fractured wrist from repetative movements of my hand from a summer 4 yrs ago when I was a vet tech and washing dogs. My wrist has never been the same since. So my work outs are mainly stuff with no bouncing around...I like controlled movements. It worked very well for me years ago. And last year when I lost my 25 lbs that was the biggest part of my work outs pilates and hiking (during the summer months).
But I am ready to get back on the horse
so to speak. I'm tired of being out of shape, and feeling more fat than ever. I am 180 now. MY GOAL IS 160. When I hit 160 I will then decide if I wish to maintain there are keep going. The lowest I am going to go will be 145 to 150. I actually look pretty good at 160 even though it is considered overweight for my height. I have always looked smaller than my weight would suggest. Will I get there I sure hope so! I'm going to take this slowly. I plan to change my life. Not just for myself but for my DH as well. I cook all our meals and buy all our food so what ever diet I go on so does he.
