When I started this grand geriatric/bariatric experiment, I could not walk across the yard to the mailbox at the road, could not lift the barbell with five pound weights, could not even do a decent situp.
I worked slowly, only asking for a little more each day. I worked up to walking two miles twice a day, working weights every other day, bench pressing fifty pounds sixty reps (not much I know, but at least I'm trying).
Three weeks ago I hit a plateau and could not get past the 200 mark. I cut the protein drink out and let up on the intensity of the workouts and was about to give up, when the weight began to fall off again. I guess prayers do help, cause I'm on the way down again.
