Good Morning! Time to roll out of bed and start a fresh new day! It's going to be another perfect summer day here, what a joy to be out in the sunshine!
I have the morning off, I'll be picking up the girls at their grandparent's house after lunch. I think I'll make some strawberry rhubarb sauce to have on hand for my cottage cheese and yogurt, and I want to transfer my pansies into the shade in the back yard. I should be getting things ready for Saturday's yardsale, too, so after I get the girls maybe we'll come back here and get that job done, too.
Pour yourself a cup and come sit and chat for a bit.
here too, Cottage, but a rather crisp 45ºF morning. I've had my first coffee, the Girls are fed and I'm going to have strawberries and cottage cheese for breakfast.
I just made a list of stuff I need to do in town and am feeling a bit overwhelmed. Priority is to get wire shelving for the laundry closet so I can finish putting things away but I also have black earth to buy for the Fairground and groceries as the cupboard is nearly bare. It'll all come together. I have a lunch meeting so will do the unperishable shopping before that. This morning I absolutely MUST get those darned herbs planted so will be bundling up and going out to the garden in a while. We may be getting yet more rain later this afternoon.
Nuthin' could be finer than to be in Caroliner in the Moooo-oo-r-ning!!!
Good Golly no beach babes here--- just a bunch of busy bees!
Cottage: I swear it sounds like Little house on the Prairie !!! you're a regular betty crockerin' suzy homemaker! Garage sales can be addictive! You'll start looking at "junque" in your house and want to stick tabs on it for like a dollar!!
Ruth: Too bad I can run to the Delta and be your right arm
I've got to do some research this morn and then off to the stores............................................ ....
Good morning. Cleaning house and yard before dd and ds are off for summer. Really good scrubbing and clearing out.
My stomach is killing me - I think I have to switch over to P2 and intro some oatmeal into my diet. I'm not really losing any more weight although I really should exercise (I have been doing some heavy cleaning, lifting, moving but nothing organized). I also bought some awesome cherries and blueberries.
I hopped on the scale at Curves, and I've lost 4 1/2 lbs! I've been getting angry because my scale at home hasn't budged in over a week, so while at Curves I decided to check their scale, and I'm glad I did!
Scales and computers...they have minds of their own for sure! Four and a half pounds is awesome!
Morning, ladies! We had a nice day here. It was supposed to storm but it didn't. Temps were down to the upper 70s, which made the walk around town a lot nicer. I'm not looking forward to the heat and humidity of summer.
It must be a cottage cheese kind of day! I had some with red pepper strips for lunch!
Made some new recipes for dinner and they turned out wonderfully! That was nice. I think I've come over the hump of feeling deprived and am enjoying trying new things. I actually feel like I'm cheating since I've discovered this 75 calorie sweet treat allowance! I made a crustless "pie" with orange Jell-O mixed with plain yogurt. Sounds strange, but it wasn't awful. I had gotten it off the Kraft South Beach website. I don't know if I'll make it again, but I had a slice of that with some fat free Cool-whip and it felt decadent. Isn't that funny?!
As of tonight, I've made it through one full week of Phase 1 with no cheating! Woo hoo!
Morning everyone, just a quick note as I need to go in early this morning. I'm also trying to cut down on my internet time at work. Things aren't going great here. There's been a lot of drama at work and I'm just tired of dealing with it. I'm really hoping that our boss lets go one of our bigger drama queens today (we have plenty of documented "freak outs" from her, includint one yesterday), but we'll see if he has the cojones.
Yikes, time to head out already. Have a great day, everyone! I'll try to catch up over the weekend!
Congrats Kara on Week 1! I will have to try that Kraft Site - I need some things for the family. The jello pie sounds good. Picked up the dancing carrot on this site in UserCP.
Cottage - I have a Tanita scale that I love - gives you body fat and water indexes and you can store up to 4 people's profiles (anyone over age 14) plus one guest (because I always weigh myself at other people's homes - ha! )
Went for a big walk with dh and our little dog last night. It was great. Up this morning clean house, laundry on the line and in the washer. Wee ones here and happy. Life is great.
Well this is a quickie as I need to take clothes off the line put more on and put on the tea pot a girlfreind is coming over with some violets that she is slowly killling to see if I can nurse them back to health. Hope you all have a great day.

I think I'll put my scale out for the yardsale!

I've been a lurker for a while, checking on you guys from my pocket pc but never replied because I can't stand typing on that confounded thing!!! DH got me a laptop for our anniversary so I'm likely to be bugging you all often!
Today is a beautiful day in the northeast corner of Maryland, sitting at home with my 3y.o. & cousin's 7 m.o. boys. Went for a walk this morning down and up our BIG hill pushing stroller. Determined I wouldn't stop and rest and did it! Haven't tackled that hill since fall . . . I've been a bad girl!
Read much about y'all so you seem so familiar!
Trying real hard to be good when I want so much to be bad . . . the Devil lives in my kitchen cabinet!!!
I was a regular poster for a while but I haven't posted since my baby girl was 2wks old. Gee, I wonder why I thought I could just jump right back into South Beach, nursing and all. Anyhow, I have been losing a little here and there and am ready to start phase 2 (after a shopping trip). I'd love to go down to phase 1 but I am afraid it will affect my milk supply and that comes first.
I am so happy to see people that I first saw over 2 yrs ago, it's very inspiring. I am looking forward to hanging out on this board more now that the baby is old enough to give me some wiggle room on weight loss
Hi Everyone,
I am new to the forum, and on day 12 of phase I. I'm proud that I've made it this far, since up until now, just the word diet made me sweat. Today is beautiful and sunny in Maryland, and I'm working at my kitchen table with all the windows open. This time of year makes me feel happy and energized! The kids will be home from school soon and maybe we'll go to the pool. If we do, I think I'll swim some laps.
This forum is a great resource! I've really enjoyed and gotten encouragement from reading everyone's stories and posts, and I've gotten some great recipe ideas that have helped break the repetition and boredom of Phase I. On Saturday, I will get to have oatmeal and some strawberries! I am really looking forward to that!
