Question Suggested mealplans

I was just wondering,,,, how many of you followed the suggested mealplan in the SB book or did most of you followed your own mealplans? Which of the recipes in the SB diet book were nice and would you recommend?

We didn't follow the meal plans. My husband is a picky eater so I wanted to make stuff that I knew he would like and keep him on plan. I found so many good recipes on this site and on http://www.southbeachrecipes.com/ for some reason that site isn't working today for me

I didn't follow the meal plans. I looked on the list of acceptable foods, then looked in the cookbook and online for recipes I thought my family would like. I would do the planning at least one day ahead, make a list of everything I would need and print it out, then get all the ingrediants so I'd have them in the house when it was time to cook.
I've been on it a month and I think I've only cooked one thing twice for a main meal...between the internet and the cookbook, you have lots of variety.
You can also take your own "regular" recipes and adapt them to SB by using ingrediants that are "approved".

I don't follow a meal plan either. I just follow the list of acceptable foods. I do the same thing as femmecreole. I search for recipes on line and plan at least a day ahead. I found that I'm having alot of fun perparing new meals for my family. Last night I made a stir fry from scratch. I even grated fresh ginger. My DH was very impressed. I do have the SB 30 minute meals book and that has some good recipes.
