Default does the SB diet make you crankier at first?

This is my first time trying the SB diet, and I've noticed I feel a little more cranky lately. I feel bad because I was not very nice to my boyfriend this weekend, but he probably thought it was just a time of the month thing. Perhaps it is just something like that, but I wonder if the change in my eating lifestyle makes a difference. I don't feel hungry, but it could be the adjustment away from all the carbs and sugar. Did this ever happen to you when starting phase 1?

Yes, Yes, Yes! I was **** to live with the first week. I think I'm okay now...at least, nobody has said anything...but, maybe they're just afraid to?

Boy! I couldn't stand anyone. Everyone irritated me. I mean my family, people at the grocery store. Even the people who clean my yard because they were making too much noise. It's perfectly normal. Actually, I think a lot of people are cranky when starting any diet including SB.

YES! I posted about this yesterday, actually...I get so grumpy it's miserable for me and everyone else.

I have one memory in particular that, looking back on it now, I think is hilarious although at the time it was not in any way humorous. A couple of years ago my mom and I began SB for the first time, and were faithfully on it for several days, and decided to go to the store one afternoon to buy some more food for the plan. It turned into an entire hour of snapping at each other, leaning on the cart because we were too tired to stand up, and at one point I even sat down on the ground and refused to go anywhere else unless I could buy a bagel or some ice cream or SOMETHING...haha.

As hard as it is, I know from experience that when you stick to it, it's worth it.

Glitter Girl is right! Take vitamins...I dont do a multivitamin because I find there is too much of some stuff and too little of other stuff. Here is what I take in the AM and PM:

vitamin C
vitamin E
B-Complex
Soy Lecithin (helps you absorb vitamins better)
Calcium, Magnesium and Zinc
Magnesium (need a little more to process calcium)
Kelp (I eat seasalt, so I need the iodine)

I totally know what yall are talking about. I actually went to a resteraunt and cried over all the foods I couldn't eat. How sad is that? Then when DH was trying to be sweet and console me I bit his head off!! ha..ha..

Oh, and I got a yeast infection(tmi) at the end of the second week, because once yeast loses it's food source (sugar), it starts to die and leave your body and lodge in not nice girly places!!!

I wonder if age has anything to do with it?..how about a poll?
I wasn't cranky at all and felt just fine..actually felt more energy and was in a really happy mood...better than "usual"

I am 51 and had a hysterectomy a couple of years ago...I wonder if not having any hormonal fluctuations any more has anything to do with it?
