  • Well, everyone, the end is in sight. I've already lined up a friend to accompany me on a fancy steak dinner Sunday.

I'm in a great mood today. My ticker is finally accurate again. I weighed in today at 121.5. I've also made the decision that once Lent is over, at least for a transitional period, I won't keep any meat, bread, or cheese at home. That way, if I want those foods, I can go out and get them at a restaurant, but I won't be tempted to binge at home. I'm the type of person that could go overboard and overindulge in all the "new foods" I can eat, so I think this will help. I got more groceries delivered this past weekend, so I'm stocked up with veggie/fruity goodness for a while.
  • New photo G'bye! very nice.

Way to go with getting down to your ticker weight! That's awesome!

I had a better week, w/ a 1.5 lb lost at my weigh in yesterday. It's the best weigh in I've had since the 1st week of lent. I was getting frustrated.

Keep up the good work. I have to get going. Got cherubs to educate.
  • 1 week left and I can finally have a bowl of cereal. Now I hope I can keep it in check and not go over board.
  • The final stretch....good luck everyone. I'm ready for this. I've been doing pretty well. I need to do a little better with the exercise, but other than that, I'm doing great. Will check in soon.
  • Our last week! I did half and half: horrible with the soda, surprisingly good with the fast food. WI was today and I lost 1.6 lbs! FINALLY! I seem to be getting back on track.
  • last week! cant wait for diet coke again, haha
i am hoping to get back on track next week
  • So close I can taste it! (pun intended) Three days until delicious freedom!
On weekends, I've been tending to go to a nearby restaurant for breakfast where I've been able to order only breakfast potatoes. I am so looking forward to going and doing the whole buffet this Sunday (eggs, bacon, toast, the works); of course, leaving room for a steak dinner...and cheesecake! Sunday's the day I'll allow myself to go a little crazy, but I feel confident that I'll maintain the progress I've made.
  • I rejoining water aerobics today!!! I'm so psyched.

I've decided that I'm going to continue a modified version of my Lent ways. I'm keeping the piggy bank, adding money for lbs that I lose. Probably $2 to $5 dollars for each lb, added up and deposited at the end of each month. Can we say new wardrobe for my birthday road trip? I'm also going to limit sodas to the weekends and 'bad' fast food to once a week.
  • HURRAY FOR US!!!

The end is in sight! This challenge has helped me a lot. I haven't had a dessert the entire time, and now, I really don't have any desire for them. My mother did send me an easter basket though, filled with those little chocolate mini eggs ( I love them!!!) But I wont' have any till Sunday, and even then I think I'll keep a small bag for myself and take the rest to Family dinner and share them.

    CONGRATULATIONS LADIES!!!

    Cute new pic GoodbyeChubby!
  • ONE MORE DAY!!!

I just wanted to say thanks and congratulations to yall! We ROCK! I hope to see some of you in other challenges. Lots of love!
  • I'd also like to express my gratitude to all you ladies, and sotypical for starting this up. Since the beginning of Lent, I have managed to lose the 15 pounds that had crept up on me the preceeding months.

I had made a comment early on that I was probably going to feel either the most at peace or the crankiest I've ever been by the end of the 40+ days. Well, fortunately, I'm very peaceful. I am in my comfort zone weight-wise and I'm rather proud of myself for getting through this challenge, although I couldn't have done it without you.
  • This challenge has helped me start loosing again. Congrats to all of us that made it thru it wasn't always easy but we stuck to it.

Shari see u in beat the bulge lol
  • So here we are guys, THE LAST DAY!
    we can do it

sorry I havent been around much, had some people here my eating was horrible but no artifical sweenter!
  • I hope everyone is enjoying this newfound freedom. Saturday night, my BF and I ordered pizza and breadsticks around 11:30. The food arrived at 11:56 and we sat and waited until it was officially Sunday to indulge. After a good night's sleep, we went out to a breakfast buffet...I restrained myself to only two trips up to get food. Later in the day, I met up with a friend and had an EXCELLENT filet mignon. Then late in the evening, I indulged in cheesecake (although I didn't finish the entire slice). I had a wonderful weekend.

I've been a bit tempted to go to McDonald's for lunch today, but the people I've talked to have told me "NO!" They're really supportive of the work I've done, so I'll be going to Chipotle. Anyway, life is good and I'm very grateful for this Lent experience.
  • Wow, I didn't think I'd make it this long without fast food. But I did it. And I no longer crave fast food. My other challenges weren't perfect, but I definitely worked for it. This challenge has definitely helped me start losing weight! What a great challenge....thanks for all the support!
