Default Hi everyone! Newbie here

Just joined a few days ago and wanted to introduce myself. I am 28 years old, married and a mom of two little girls (2 1/2 and 9 months). I work full time and since I met my husband almost eight years ago have put on about 50 lbs. I was about 20 lbs overweight to start with so back to back pregnancies didn't really help. Love the kids, hate the fat! Anyway my goal is to lose 75 lbs by Christmas (which is right around my birthday). I told myself that I was going to quit smoking and get back into shape before I turned 30. Tick, tock! I started excerising for the first time today and this is my 4th day Smoke Free! Yeah me! Hope to make lots of weight loss buddies. My husband is great, but as someone who is only 165 at his biggest ever! Doesn't really understand my pain. Bye!

Default Hi there!

I'm Dee, usually a lurker, but trying to get in and post more. Let me be the first to tell you what an awesome place this is. Lots of support. I too am on a mission to get in shape before 30, and that will be Dec 4 for me. I'm hoping to lose another 50-75lbs by then. I'm a SAHM with 3, ages 3,5, and 7(who is usually in school, lol). Welcome, good luck, and I know you can do it... And wtg with the stop smoking.. my hubby is going to try quitting in April.

Dee

Hi Mz. Kitty - I know exactly what you mean! I have four boys, 9mos, 4, 8, and 9 and those pregnancies can really set you back. I am 38, so my goal is for my 39th birthday in March. I need to lose 70-80 pounds and am just sick and tired of "trying" to lose this weight. I want to lose it once and for all and get myself into the best shape possible - for myself and my kids. I'd love to exchange email addresses if you want to for support, etc. or we can just stick to the boards. Welcome and good luck!!

Talking Thanks

I'd like to thank everyone for their support. It's really hard for me because my husband and I have moved around the country a lot for his job (he is in IT) and I've been living in Austin for about 7 months (grew up in Dallas) and don't really know anyone except my husband and the people I work with. My family lives in Dallas, but that's about 3 hours away and so it's nice to be able to share with other women who know what I'm going through. Well, excerised again this morning and ready to start my day. Wishing everyone well.
