Working it off in Mickey Mouse land

  • Hi Everyone!

I'm new to this BB, and my weight loss journey is almost 9 weeks old. I did 8 weeks of strict adherance to a Florida plan called Metabolic Balance (worked great, weight came off, but lack of food choices makes it difficult long term). In the last three days, I've switched to Weight Watchers. It's actually seeming pretty easy after being on Metabolic Balance. Just so ya'll know, Metabolic Balance isn't any pills, shakes, etc. It's just specific, store-bought foods that you eat specific quantities of between 5-7 hours apart. 3 meals/day, no snacking. The only 'bread' is Wasa crackers. I just couldn't do it anymore. I've kicked up my exercise to doing 'something' every day, even if it's just a stroll. I also love TurboJam and I *attempt* to jog, but I'm sure people just wonder why I'm walking so funny! LOL
I'm excited about finding this forum where I get inspiration from reading other people's success and struggles!
  • Hi! good to see you here!

The switch to WW sounds good to me--I was on a strict program once that consisted of a lot of egg-white only omelets and turkey breast. I never did like egg whites, and now I don't like turkey anymore either!

Now I'm a calorie counter--but I belonged to WW many years ago and did well with it. Unfortunately I skipped out on the maintenance part of the plan, and that was a big mistake.

    Good luck!
