Default How many pounds can I lose per week on 25 points?

Hi! Does anyone know how many pounds I can expect to lose on 25 points per day? I weigh 155 and I'm 5'4. Also, how many calories are in 25 points? Thanks so much!

Hi,

There isn't any answer to your question. Different people lose at different rates, even if they do exactly the same thing. I tend to lose pretty slowly, no matter what I do. So, I keep going, knowing that the weight is coming off and that I will get to goal and that there's no deadline. Other people lose a little faster than I do. The difference is mainly in how different individual bodies are.

The number of calories in a specific number of points is actually a range. The average number of calories in a point is 50, but the actual number of a specific food may be a little more or a little less, depending on the fat and fiber in the food.

The best way to follow this program is to get the information and work with it. The most successful people, long-term, try different things until they find what works best. For example, some people are most successful if they eat all of their points. Some people vary their points, eating low one day, in the middle another, and high in their range another day. Other people pretty much stick to the middle. Most people don't do well, especially if they're exercising, if they eat at the bottom. It's important to feed yourself enough food.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

It doesn't sound like you have that many pounds to lose so expecting to lose pounds per week is not realistic. The aim is lose 1 to 2 pounds per week on average. You didn't put the weight on pounds and pounds every week, expect to take awhile to get it off. Those who take their time and learn to eat properly keep the weight off. Work on the program, find out what works best for you. Above all, be realistic when you set your goal.

I just wanted to say to Susan, you have lost an amazing amount of weight. You are such an insperation!

I am 8 mo pg and starting to feel overwhelmed by the amount of weight I will have to lose after the baby is born. To see you doing so well is an insperation and puts it all back into perspective.

Great job!

Thanks, Trish. I know you'll lose the weight after the baby is born. Isn't it good to know we have a program that works!
