Default TOM and WI

Today was my 4th weigh in and I gained .2 lbs. Not bad, as I was happy it wasn't more. This is my TOM and I thought that I would have showed more of a gain. Well, the WW instructor was like, have you been writing everything down, drinking your water, ect. and I have been so I told her it was that time of month and she said, well that shouldn't have anything to do with it! Am I wrong I did well this week, even with the chocolate cravings, which I ignored. Do you all see a difference when it is TOM? She just sortof put a crimp in my day. Thanks!

Melanie

Angry Wrong!

The scale frequently jumps during TOM, and if she didn't realize it, she oughtn't be working at a weight loss program!

You can easily gain 2 lbs. of water weight during TOM - so to gain .2, that's nothing to worry about.

If I were you, I would mention that to one of the more SENIOR members of staff - no one should be told that, especially when they are new to the program.

Melanie, if her TOM doesn't affect her weigh in, then God bless her! During mine, I tend to retain several POUNDS of water, and can't wear my wedding rings. I skipped WI last week for that very reason!
Good luck to you

I have to agree with the others...the lady is wrong!

Our leader and the one before her always says there are lots of contributing factors when one gains and they followed the plan and TOM is at the top of the list! I too skipped a weigh in because of TOM.

TOM messes up my weigh in every month now.....don't sweat it....chalk it up to the devil himself and know that you did everything right. It'll work itself out!

How rude!!! I agree with everyone else. It's totally normal to gain during that TOM. To only gain 0.2 is awesome!

Boy, Samantha, I have a thread that questioned just this thing, hormones! Mine had to do with menopausal issues and the fact that I gained 2.6 lbs having stayed OP all the way around.

Ok, I am going to say something that may irritate the heck out of some people, but the fact is the leaders are only people who have lost weight on WW. They are NOT nutritionists nor are they experts in anything that has to do with the body. You are going to find that some of the leaders you come across are totally clueless to things. I am not really in favor of former fatties being leaders because they don't always have proper training or information that goes with weight loss, but that is the way this company is run.

Talk to your doctor and ask questions about it. That is the smartest thing to do. If you can't get to your doctor, then post a question on one of the medical websites about it if you really want more info.

Bottom line, your leader is full of bologna!!!
