Default newbie

Hello everyone!

Just joined this site and thought I'd post an intro. My name is Laura, I'm 28 and looking to lose roughly 50 pounds, though my ultimate goal is to be lean, strong and healthy. I'm less concerned with the scale number than how my body works, if that makes sense.

Right now I'm looking into the volumetrics eating plan as it seems like something I can stick to for life and seems to be pretty highly reccomended as a nutritious eating plan.

Anyway, I look forward to chatting it up with you all!!

Laura

Hi Laura . . .

You've taken a great first step on the long and winding road to better health and fitness by joining us at 3FC. It's a big and very busy place. Have a good wander around and just jump in and start posting. You will receive a warm welcome and lots of support wherever you go.

Although I don't think there is and actual forum of people following Volumetric principles, I think there are many of us ' whenever I read a frozen dinner label and tend to only buy those that have an ED of 1 or less.

Have a great moving and shaking day, Chickie . . . you've come to a great place . . . hope to see you again soon.

Let me see if I can find something on Volumetrics. I know I've read something.

Thanks for the warm welcome and the links everyone. Volumetrics just seems like a very sensible eating plan to me and no "fadish"

I've put on a lot of weight in the past few years and never bothered with "diets". I always heard they never work and people frequently just gain the weight back.

So, hopefully this plus a workout program will do the trick for me
