Hemp

  • I've heard a lot and read a lot about hemp protein and how beneficial it is and how much essential omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids it contains. So I bought some hulled hemp seed and gave it a try this week. Pretty tasty little buggers. Also, I've read enough supporting documentation to know that there is no way I could ever test positive in a drug screen by eating some hemp seeds or even by eating the hemp oil or protein powder. I am always actively seeking out new ways to get awesome stuff in my diet. So hulled hemp seeds get my thumbs up approval. They taste like pine nuts and are great in scrambled eggs and sprinkled on pasta.

  • I tried some protein hemp powder and it was NASTY. It would not mix up and just settled right to the bottom. I'm glad I only got a single serving packet to try. It smelled really good, but it wouldn't mix up. Though I am thinking of trying again and adding it to some Healthy Choice low-fat vanillia ice cream. Might mix up better in a shake deal.
