11:30 I made breakfast...

B: strawberry smoothie
L: chicken noodle soup and a piece of cheese toast
S: applesauce
D: meatball sandwich and a big salad

Exercise: I have errands so I've already showered, so I'll walk around the stores for a loooong time, then do a couple quick weight workouts when I get home.

I can't drink plain water. It's really weird but it's a family thing. We get terrible stomach pains and sometimes nausea and worse. Every excuse I seem to have has a medical backup, sometimes I like being such a freak of nature. My Uncle has barrett's (sp?) esophagus, where the lining is like the intestines, so he can only drink diet sodas because they're acidic. Pointless rambling, but I thought I'd share

Interesting, I've never heard of that, Tracy! Can you drink water if you put some lemon in it?

RememberHowtoSmile: I'm here, I'm here! Shoulda posted this last night, since I had an early morning today and didn't have time to pop in.

B: 1/4c steel-cut oats, tbsp dried cranberries, splash of milk
L: 1.5c homemade chicken noodle soup, 2 clementines
--- end accountability, begin planning ---
S: 1 slice spelt toast w/pb, apple
D: HMM... gonna go with a homemade turkey burger, cauliflower, and a salad.
S: (if needed) clementines! I love those things. I'll be sad when they're out of season again.

I always feel like someone's going to look at my breakfast and think I'm only eating 1/4c of food in the mornings.... But remember steel-cut oats expand x4! It cooks up to be a cup, which, when we're talking oatmeal, is a LOT

The closest I can get to plain water is sweetened tea. I'm southern, so it's not a problem and my mom actually asked the doctor and she said tea is the absolute best alternative, as long as it's not loaded with sugar. I use just under a cup per gallon, so I don't think it's too bad. It just has something to do with the stomach acid my family has. It gets water and goes absolutely crazy. A small bathroom sized cup once a night to take my allergy pill is all I can really handle. It seems like the sugar in tea, maybe the actual tea itself, adds enough substance to give the acids something to do.

B - Smoked salmon and lite cream cheese on whole-grain pumpernickel
S - Kashi bar and 1/3 cup mixed nuts and seeds
L - Morningstar soy 'chicken' patty on wheat bun w/ cheese & veggies, 2 sugarless, flourless peanut butter cookies
D - Organic meatloaf w/ veggies and couscous, 1/2 cup frozen yogurt
S - 1 cup fresh cherries & 8 mini organic wheat crackers with hummus

We've had freezing rain all day today, so I've got to resist my old habit of ordering a big pizza!
