The monthly challenges are really flexible. People pretty much set their own goals..... Usually we go by minutes of exercise, but some people like to do number of times exercised per week. Some do number of reps of a certain thing (jumping jacks are popular). Some track water, some track dog walks... It's really up to you!
It's a group challenge, yes, but it's also a very personal challenge. If you want to join in on January, just set your goal to something you can do in the next two weeks. Meeting your goal will be just as satisfying as if you had done a month-long challenge!
There's also a forum with different challenges to join.... called "Chicks up for a Challenge." You might check that out to see if there's anything interesting going on!
