It can? However are you eating more 'sugar free' substitutes. That is a major problem with some people when they eat Nutrasweet or Splenda.

Fiber will cause some bloating though if you aren't getting in your healthy oils and water! And sometimes it causes gas that can cause gassy pains.

The USDA recommendation I believe is around 30-35 gms of fiber a day.

Your body will take a bit to get used to more fibre . . . be sure you are drinking lots of water. Most 'experts' (whoever they are) seem to recommend about 35 grams of fibre a day.

I'm OK with Splenda and other sugar subs like that (I'm diabetic and try to avoid real sugar as much as possible). Those 'sugar alcohols' (like sorbitol and maltitol) that they use to sweeten NSA ice-cream, etcetera, do me in. Wow, talk about gas pains.

Have a great moving and shaking kind of day . . .

I too have this same problem. Fiber can make you feel very bloated and uncomfortable, especially insoluble fiber, which is what is found in most WW products. It is also found in fruit and vegetables and many high fiber cereals. Increasing your fiber intake a lot at one time also can lead to bloating. Luckily there are ways to counteract this. Make sure you drink lots of water when you're eating something with a lot of fiber (which seems counterintuitive, but trust me it works). You can also try to eat things with some soluable fiber in them such as oatmeal, cheerios and some Kashi products. You can also try anit-gas products such as beano. I take some right before I eat anything with a lot of fiber (especially raw vegetables) and it seems to help. I personally have a lot of trouble with bloating because I have IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) which is LOADS of fun If you try those tips and you still feel symptoms you might want to look into that as well.
As far as the smileys, I wish I knew that myself! hehe
Good luck, and I hope you feel better!

Oops . . . missed your question about the 'emoticons'. . .

At the bottom of the list at the right is the word [more] . . . click that and you will get a whole big page of 'smilies' . . .

Have fun .

Did you have this problem before starting WW? It could be anything from an allergy to IBS/IBD to Celiac to your body just getting used to the fibre. I didn't eat a lot of fibre before WW because I have IBD and sometime that and fibre don't mix well, but it took a while before I was okay with digesting it. In the meantime I would take gas tablets. That helped with the bloating and uncomfortable feeling.
