Newbie with question about whole grain

  • Hi All! I have been doing flex for 1 year and lost 10 pounds. I am thinking of switching to CORE since I have been getting very hungry on the flex plan. Are we allowed 1 serving or 1 meal of whole grains (brown rice, whole wheat pasta, potatoes) on CORE? And how much is one serving? Thanks!
  • Hi Tenshi! We are allowed to eat rice/past/potatoes at one meal. I generally try to stop at one serving. A serving on Core is the same as it is on Flex. I use my Daily Food Companion to double check myself on serving sizes. We'd love to have you join us! We hang out on our weekly thread where we talk about everything that's going on in our lives which impacts on how we lose/don't lose!

  • while you dont need to stop at 1, you do need to stop when satisfied and i recommend a big core salad b/f that meal. igenerally stick w a '2' rule...
    2 c cereal, 2 c pasta etc. 1 potato is usually plenty tho.
