Angela, do you have a good Core sloppy joe recipe. I want one that tastes like the original. I tried one recipe and it wasn't very good.

 Vickie, what I did this time for my sloppy joes was just throw a bunch of stuff in there. I'm not sure I could even replicate it. :) I browned a pound of 93% ground beef. Then I added about 1/2 cup tomato sauce, the same of ketchup and about 1/3c. water. I squeezed in some mustard (dh likes mustard in his sloppy joes), and some Worcestershire sauce, and garlic salt. Then I let that simmer, uncovered, for about 10 minutes or so, until it had gotten to a good consistencey.
It's pretty plain, but my family loves it. Angela |
Nothing wrong with plain as far as I'm concerned! Maybe mustard is the secret ingredient. We did have a recipe on our board that I posted but I don't think it's the one that I made that I didn't like. It's sort of a cola chicken base. Maybe I'll give that a try. All of a sudden, I'm craving it. Hmmmmm.....wonder why that is?!
