I did it!!!
On my thursaday weigh in.... I reached my goal!!!
When I started in October of '04 I was 310 pounds at 5'4" My original goal weight was 135.. That seemed impossible back then. Over time, as my weight dropped, I actually grew 2 inches and adjusted my goal weight to 145-150 range. Thursday afternoon I weighed in at 148 (in blue jeans - no less!!) It's saturday morning now, and it's just now starting to sink in that I DID IT!! I did what I thought would be impossible. It's time for me to set a new fitness goal. I need something to keep me focused and busy. Shaolin Kempo martial arts is appealing to me right now. I never thought - in a million years - I'd be able to do that. I think that's going to be how I celebrate. I'll set new goals periodically as I make progress with my belts. (just like my weight loss goals - a little at a time) I love that I can take the tools I learned in my WW meetings and apply them to my everyday life - even though I am not in "weight loss" mode anymore. I don't think I'll be ready to give up my weekly meetings for a long time. I need those every week - even when I hit lifetime. :carrot: *HUGE hugs*, and a round of crystal light for everyone (on me):D |

What an accomplishment! It is so nice to hear how others have succeeded in their weight loss goals. It inspires me to stick with mine! So proud of You!!!!

YEAH JADEDJANE!! That is wonderful that you got to goal. That gives me hope. Hopefully one of these days I can get back on track. And I can get to goal. You are a inspiration to me. I'll sit down tomorrow morning and gather up my best information and post it in a new thread tomorrow. I even have a great recipe for cheesy chicken and rice that rocks (it's my comfort food). I make it a point to have it once a week. for now...I'm going to have a cup of tea and write up my grocery list for the week. My hubby said I could shop at the Whole Foods market this week in honor of my achievement, and pick up something nice for the Valentines dinner. I'm thinking poached salmon with a fat free sour creme and dill sauce with wild rice, spinach, and a baked sweet potato... maybe baked butterbut squash for dessert (it's lightly dusted with cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and splenda just a few minutes before it's done baking). until tomorrow :) cheers! Jane this would help me SO much. You and I started at the same time and I've only lost 45 pounds.
I'll take any tips that you'd be willing to offer, including that great sounding recipe. What was your exercise like and how old are you if you don't mind me asking? |

You are just what I need!!!!!! Whew! I came to this site this morning once again embarassed that I am letting food get the best of me. Then I read your wonderful message about reaching goal.
