Hi everyone, I would say good morning but I guess it is only morning for me! Work this weekend was ok. I was actually bored on Fri and Sat nights but I paid for it last night! Oh well, now I am off until Friday night.

When I got up this evening, Skeeter, my little pomeranian, had been going all over the house to see what she could get into. She moved our shoes and her blanket into the kitchen and then I found my bag of apples in the middle of the floor with little bites out of them! She is such a bad seed sometimes but she is so cute she is forgiven for everything.

I hope everyone had a good weekend and a good day today.

Welcome Mary Ann. Everyone here is very supportive!

I am off to watch some of the olympics.

Well I am kinda bummed. I gained 2 1/2 lbs this week. I know I had a couple of days that werent the best. But still thought maybe I could maintain again. But I guess my scales were right. I gained.
So hopefully I can get back on track tomorrow. I went and got some more veggies and fruit tonight. You know wonder why it cost more to eat healthy than the junk. I think if they want you to eat healthy. They should make it more affordable.
Has anyone try the new WW yogurt. 1 point. Its very good. Have tried the black cherry and the blueberry.
Well I am going to get off here for now. Go and have a pity party. Oh how I wish I could control my eating. But food is my addiction. Got me some sugar free gum tonight. Thought maybe I could use that this week. If I wanted something to eat. I will put a piece of gum in my mouth. Cant hurt.
So everyone have a great night. Thinking of all of you.

Coco, the sugar-free gum is a good idea. I've used it before, and it really does help.

I ate well today, and it feels good. I think tomorrow might be a bit of a challenge, it being Valentine's Day and all, but I'll try to be good. Sounds like dh is planning a quiet night at home, which suits me just fine. Since little dd has strep throat, we couldn't get a babysitter and go anywhere anyway.

I'm off to monkey around on the computer and maybe watch some TV. Aaah, my leisure time.

Enjoy your evening, Angela. I'm sorry about the baby, but a nice quiet evening is always welcome, too.

We're watching the Mavericks game right now while Judd looks for a new cooktop on the internet (Home Depot, I think). I have just had it with mine and so I asked if we could replace it. This one has to be completely disassembled with a screwdriver just to clean it. That is unacceptable! I really like the gas, but if we have to go to an electric smooth top, then so be it. I guess we'll go looking next weekend.

My lunch is all packed up and ready to go, so maybe I'll go start a menu thread for tomorrow. I just have to think up a catchy "Valentine-y" title!

It's not like Vickie to stay away all day. What's up, girl?

Yes Vickie, don't stay away!

Back from class and watching 24. I'm so tired and headachy. Hope everyone else is doing well!

Coco, the gum is a good idea. I'm sorry to hear about your gain but you will overcome it! You are already coming up with new ideas, see?

Paula, how could you not forgive that face! So cute and innocent!

Kathy, I was wondering where you were today. Shopping for a new cooktop doesn't sound like much fun! I can't imagine having to unscrew it to clean it, that's crazy.

Angela, have fun tomorrow night!

Sorry to run but my eyes are crossing. Night!

I just caught what Paula said about her doggie! I guess I had skimmed the posts too quickly -- but that's pretty funny! I laughed out loud when I saw the part about the apples!!

Melissa, rest up and have a good night! I'm hiding in the bedroom after just hearing Judd yell "BAD BOY" at Zuki. I can only imagine what was going on -- that Zuki was about to poop on the floor right in front of Judd. What was he thinking???? That boy ain't right.

I'm almost afraid to go in there and find out what the real story is but I'm pretty sure that's it. Especially since I heard the back door being opened after the yelling and Zuki being escorted out.

Love is in the air at my house, and no, it isn't me. Tonight Kate was home when Judd got back from the gym. They actually talked, and Kate showed him her apartment floorplan, and he was giving her some advice like "be sure to get renter's insurance" and "if you buy furniture, buy it by yourself and don't go in halves with anyone else". I think he's watched too many Judge Judy episodes lately. Anyway, he was being very nice to her and it made me feel good.

I'm excited about my grapefruit that I bought at the store tonight. Am I low maintenance or WHAT? They just really looked good and so I decided to buy some. I have dug out my serrated grapefruit spoon and it's by my purse to take to work.

I'm really starting to worry about Vickie.

Good Morning Chicks! I'm here and sorry that I didn't come back to post yesterday. I was just feeling really, really blue and emotionally drained. I didn't feel much like talking. The good news is that I lost .8. Not much but at least I stopped the darned gaining.

I slept on the couch last night, then went to bed at 10:30 which is early for us, and I just got up at 7:45. I feel out of sorts. Today the pup has a bath and a haircut and I've got my follow up Urologist appointment. Last night I went for the x-ray and tried to get the Technician to tell me if the stone was still there but she says she isn't supposed to say. I knew that but I thought I'd try anyway!

Jim wants to have pizza (thin crust veggie) for VD's day and I'm going along with it. I'll exercise tomorrow and I'll have a huge salad first. He used to eat thick crust with lots of sausage so I guess I've had a positive influence on him. We only buy gifts for each other for Christmas so just cards are being exchanged. Nice dinners are the other treat we do. Since I don't feel like paying extra on the commericial holidays.....pizza it is. I'm sure I'll be fine.

So I'll go read posts now and see how the rest of you are doing. I have to leave at 1:30 so I have some time before I have to go shower and get ready.

Good morning everyone, Happy Valentine's Day!
Skeeter is up to her tricks again. I discovered that she has been in my sewing room pulling doll stuffing out of the bag and throwing it all over the floor! When I fuss at her she just tilts her head and looks at me like she has no clue what I am fussing about.

I hope you all have a good day. I think we are going out to dinner tonight but I am not sure where.

We don't go in for VD stuff either, Vick; just cards for us and I'll cook a nice dinner. I dislike cut flowers and I always say this: yes, they're pretty but they're going to die. Puppies and kitties are cute too but would you buy me one if you knew for a FACT that it was going to die in a week? No, I didn't think so. To me it's the same thing. If someone's going to get me flowers, I'd rather have flowers I can plant in the yard, or a pot plant or something like that. I still have all the houseplants from my sister's funeral, and know exactly who gave them to me, etc.

Well, now you can all go cancel your orders for the flowers you sent me -- it was a lovely gesture but I just saved you some money.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope that everyone's day is off to a great start. I had to go to the grocery for work this morning so I'm just getting in. It's going to be a busy one. I'll have to catch up later, just wanted to say hi!

Wow, I did miss alot!

Linda, OMG!!!!! You are 7 pounds BELOW goal and you haven't shared with us?! We need to know all the details and you definitely have to share your most yummy recipes. You struggled for so long and then didn't come here and tell your Chickie GF's that you were on a roll and losing great? Are we going to see a profile picture soon with your smiling below goal face?! Are you done with your maintenance 6 weeks yet? Keep up the great work!

Angela, you will always be my Core hero. I worried that you were struggling since you weren't posting menus. I'm so happy that you're back on track. Whomever said it is right. Thank goodness you are catching yourself earlier than in the past and getting back on before the gain gets out of control. How's Mom?

Coco, I'm SO sorry about your gain. Try not to let it make you crazy. I gained big two weeks in a row. I'm not quitting and I didn't even try to lose big this week. I just tried to stop gaining. You'll do it. You are doing all the right things by refocusing and buying wonderful fruits and veggies. I hate to sound like a broken record but I for one cannot lose without exercise. Maybe throwing in a bit of walking would help. I'm very impressed with your bringing your bread to the restaurant. I had to LOL though. I pull all my condiments out of my purse without embarrassment and I've even carried a slice of FF american cheese to put on my sirloin burger but I've never carried bread and asked them to toast it! Good for you. With an attitude like this, you'll reach goal for sure.

Frouf, I'm so tickled to inadvertently inspire you to exercise! Your meals were a bit off program but so controlled! Good for you. No dessert and no show popcorn was a HUGE accomplishment. Your dinner party sounds wonderful. I'm sorry I couldn't be there. I'm glad you got your new coffeepot and I'm very jealous. I love FRESH coffee. At home, I brew my coffee and then switch it to a thermal carafe. I won't drink it when it's cooked. At restaurants I say, "I'll have decaf if it's fresh". My family just rolls their eyes at me. I knew all of us here were kindred spirits in more ways than one. So what's up with your DH. He was so quiet for so long. I'm sure your having TOM didn't help calm the situation. He knew he was wrong, that's why he overreacted.

Saundra, OMG, I hope you're ok today. Sometimes the second day is the worst. I severely strained my foot once and was told that severe strains/sprains can hurt worse than breaks. I hope your DH has some magic to make you feel better.

Sandra, I'm not surprised you are enjoying the Oympics. I don't get into them myself and I'm not even sure why. Your archery focus is impressive. The only thing that I can compare it to is gambling!!!! How embarassing! When Jim and I used to go to the work conference in a casino in Atlantic City, we spent EVERY off work moment at the quarter slot machines. People tried to get us to go out for dinner and to party but we were busy. We don't gamble much but when we get the chance we are serious about it. Your archery is more more noble!

On a program note.....the meeting this week was about excuses. They didn't call it that, but that's what it was about. Life is full of special occasions and reasons that we can use to postpone being on program. I'm sure it was timed because of VD's Day but it really stuck a chord with me. They asked us how many of us had said we'd start being good again after our BD, Christmas, New Year, Labor Day, Wedding...etc. you get the picture. The time is NOW! I'm going to try to stop using my exercise excuses....just as soon as I feel better........

BTW, I could chat. Just about any night would be good for me. As long as Jim isn't requesting my attention, I'll be there with bells on. As long as it's after 7:00 CST, I'll be good. We DVR most of our TV anyway so TV programs probably won't hold me back. Well, except for AI. I try to watch that live so I can vote. Dork that I am!

Well, I'm sure this is LOOOOONNNNGGGG. So I'm signing off for now. I need to go post my menu although I'm not sure what I'm having for lunch.
