Happy Saturday morning to all!
I am up but still in my jammies - and getting hungry! (maybe brunch w/Melissa??? )
Saundra - would that be dinner at Zola's again? and do they now have whole wheat pasta? Your dinner sounds just like something I would order (even the wine - ha ha ha) - glad you enjioyed it.
Kathy - glad the highlight worked out okay - I am too chicken to do my own highlights - altho I sometimes do my own 'roots' touchup when I can't get to the hairdresser or want to wait a couple of weeks before getting cut.
Just did my roots last weekend - and my 'real' hair appt is next week - when I have them done professionally and cut as well - can't wait as my hair has grown out quite a bit and is a hassle in the morning!
...so are you saying we will only see one crazed leaping bunny per page? How disappointing - I was kinda getting used to it!
Vickie - you are the bravest person dealing with all this discomfort - sending you hugs for a nice relaxing day - definitely get into that bath if it helps!
Coco - hope you are hanging in there and making good choices!
Ended up going to movie w/dh last night so loaded up on SALTY popcorn - but stll happy to report that my at home official weigh in shows a 6 lb loss for the week - pretty amazing! I have given myself a goal of 2 lbs for next week - but w/PMS fast approaching and TOM around the corner this might be very challenging.
Already have some laundry in - ate a granny smith apple - but now getting hungry for breakfast/brunch? Definitely getting on the treadmill later, then shower and get dressed for 3:30 nail appointment. Should get home arond 5 pm then off to gf's for cheese fondue dinner at 6!
This is getting me a bit worried as I don't want to pig out? Will eat something before I go probably (if breakfast is at 11:30 and dinner at 6:30 when is lunch??). Will try to eat more salad and less fondue - and maybe 1 glass of wine?
Now dh says he wants to bring a honking big chocolate black magic cake from the cake lady's store - but I am trying to veto that as NONE of us needs it and I know my gf is on ww so hopefully a more "friendly" dessert has been prepared!
Time to go forage in the kitchen!
Frouf

Patti, I hope that you can find things to keep yourself occupied, and find some food (core of course!) for your cupboards.

6 pounds down!!!! Oh My God! I can't tell you how happy I am for you. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
I don't know what you are going to do for lunch today but I hope you do something to avoid all that fondue. You have worked so hard and been so successful! Keep up the great work.

Frouf, congrats on the down trend. Doesn't it feel good? Actually, the loss gives momemtum, to keep it up. (really down) It was Zola's last night, they were packed. It's fun when there is no bill at the end. Ds took care of it all.
I thought that last night your fondue, but have fun tonight. The salad is a good idea, keep up the "momemtum".
My scale stayed the same today, so my evening really was a good one.

morning!!!! i'm sitting here in full makeup, hair done, and donning a new top. curtis and i are heading over to tour the new rocky mountain elk foundation international headquarters building in a few minutes. after that we'll come home and i'll get into grubbies and treadmill while watching football playoff games. life is good.
melissa, i'm anxious to hear about the mystery dinner. will you wear costumes?
coco, i buy fat free pizzas that are 3 pts each. i usually add bellpepper/onions/olives or even moose burger to them but rarely are they over 6 pts for the whole pizza. and if i'm counting core, they are probably just 2 pts cuz the mozzarella cheese is ff and the added goodies are all core. i order them online. if you're interested, just pm me. (i don't work for them. i just buy their pizzas.)
vickie, i hope you're feeling better today. i'm glad you got some much needed rest. i haven't decided what to eat today either. keep reminding yourself that today's wi doesn't count.
kathy, congrats to kate. i'm happy for her. as for shaun, the old job wanting him back has to help his morale. is he going to stay with his new job or go back? i like what you said abougt faulty scales. last night curtis shot the wrong target once. he said it was a defective arrow.
melissa, i misunderstood you earlier. i'm blushing here now. i thought you were going to a mystery dinner. guess you won't be wearing a costume tonight, will you?
i weighed this am and was 193.5 so i'm all right. i weighed 195.8 at ww wed but that was evening with clothes on.
saundra, a pedicure sounds marvelous. i'm glad you had such a good time at dinner last night. i'm impressed about your not having bread--and you're at goal!!
i just read vickie's reply and saw she used the word "marvelous", too. great minds run alike, vickie.
patti, you're doing great getting back on track so quickly. atta girl!!
frouf, congrats on losing those 6 lbs. your day sounds like fun. i hope dh doesn't get that cake. that would be very hard to turn down.

Sandra, you are so funny. No, we aren't that adventurous. And now the restaurant has been revealed...Johnny Carino's. So I'm going to look online and try to decide what I'll eat before we get there. It doesn't always work, but it helps. I hope that you have fun today. And !

Oh, I remember the days of dipping bread in flavoured oil, or the oil drizzling all over....RED LIGHT! That's why I just avoid it completely, at least so far.
Tonight, I am making skinless chicken thights coated with seasoned corn meal which I sprayed with a olive oil and put in the oven. I also cut up a couple of sweet potatoes and sprayed and seasoned them, sort of like baked fries. It smells good, hope it tastes okay.
Counting down, two week today. I'm determined not to bring too many clothes this time. I've actually eliminated quite a few

Hoo boy, I've been outside with the neighbors. We had excitement -- a house a few streets over just burned down. We all wet our fences and yards for precaution. The outdoor burn bans are still in effect and they say it could be three months or more before we get any precip. Things are just as dry as they can be, and it's going to be 81 and windy tomorrow. This isn't good.
I think Judd and I are going to the chinese buffet tonight, but I've already decided what I'm having so I'm all good to go. Fish, shrimp (not fried), green beans, broccoli, corn, etc. I'm back off of pork, poultry and red meat again ... spent many years without it and it's time to cut it out again. I get to the point where I just can't see the idea of killing something so I can eat it, when there are plenty of other choices like beans and grains, nuts, etc. I'll still eat fish, dairy, eggs ... just not the other. I know I'm odd.
It sounds like everybody's busy today! Melissa, if you do have to dip, just tell yourself you're getting in those good oils for the day -- count the bread and enjoy the evening.

Boy, Kathy that must be so scary. Like Patti, it seems so strange, as we see the snow coming down. Do take care and have a fun dinner out.
Patti have fun with the "girls". Be aware, and you'll be fine.

patti, enjoy yourself tonight. can you take some core munchies with you or would that be rude?
saundra, how much did you lose to get to goal? (i'm needing some inspiration.)
all is well here. i'm sitting in front of the ballgame playing with he puter and curtis is in his recliner sleeping through the game. guess we're official old folks now. i'm still going great with op. life is good.

Hi Sandra,
I've lost 22 pounds since October 9th. I'm 5'7" and my goal is 155. I now weigh 150. I was at WW last year and Core didn't appeal to me. (lost about 15 then). My gf told me that she and her daughter were doing Core with success, so I decided to try, and voila. I do feel that it is a plan that can be "maintained" easier than flex. Having said that, I know that places like AI resorts are not going to be easy, and that is why I am being realistic. I know that I won't go nuts with food, but probably will use more than my WAP's too. BTW, I'm allowed 63 WAP's now, which I am not coming close to yet.
Vanity is a motivating factor for me, and I'm "bound and determined" to look good in my bathing suits this summer!
Sandra, if you are an oldy, what does that make me? LOL
