DAILY NSVs FOR FRIDAY!

  • Okay Chickies - let's hear about all your successes today!

    I am happy to report that I did not eat a bigger breakfast cuz I WAS NOT THAT HUNGRY - what a concept?? I usually have a vat of oatmeal (2 instant packs w/nf french vanille creamer and top that with a sliced banana - very filling!).

    Today I had all the fixins' at work, but somehow I determined I did not NEED to eat that much today - did not feel that empty. So got one of my lf cottage cheese/fruit cups from the frigde and had that w/my coffee. Don't feel stuffed and will be very ready for lunch in about one hour!

    I did NOT finish my sons waffles (which I NORMALLY DO).....does that count? I had more protein/fiber for breakfast than first planned...picking burritos-16gr fiber over grits-<1gr fiber!And I am not even thinking about food! Seemingly I have a little more energy than yesterday and will be getting showered for the day to go to the drs. Good job...Keep it up!

    Since I forgot my breakfast, I was so tempted to stop at McDonald's! But instead I kept driving and ate those sweet potato chips when I got here. That'll hold me until lunch #1.
  • Kathy...way to go for you! See, that would have started a binge for me! I just wanna say that I am ready for the day and FEELIN GOOD...I have on some jeans that are WAY TO BIG...but all I have and "lookin good" I am gonna take some time and put on some makeup (which I never wear....but on special occasions) and make myslef "pretty" to go to the DRs. Gonna go watch Martha too. Cant wait for these next 10 lbs to come off...gonna buy myself some jeans.

  • OK I probably shouldn't post because I have been a very bad girl today...but after my blowout this morning I haven't eaten anything. This is a NSV for me because normally I eat because it's "time" and not because I'm hungry. I am just now getting hungry and will have either my small salad or some applesauce. I have to eat something before leaving here at 3:30 or I'll buy the entire grocery store.
  • Good for you Melissa for paying attention to your body - I too would have just continued the "feasting" and gotten into an even deeper hole!
  • tonight i ate a frozen banana instead of some ice cream.
  • I went to a White Sox World Series celebration and passed on all kinds of amazing food and desserts. I ate baby carrots, celery and FF dill dip (which I brought), along with some shrimp and cocktail sauce. I ate a fried chicken breast whick I peeled every morsel of skin off of, and Core rotini pasta salad (which I made), and some green salad that was dressed with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. I had one sip of champagne to toast the White Sox and drank water, CF Diet Pepsi, and coffee the rest of the evening. After all, it was the company that mattered, right?

    Oh Yeah, I made and brought a cream cheese poundcake with pecans. Everyone snarfed it up and RAVED about it. It's really a cool dessert because it's made in a 9 x 13 pan so it's great for parties. I confess to eating one bite of that just to be sure it was as good as I remembered. I bet it was a 2 point bite!
