I did not do well with my water today. I am still drinking tonight. I have got to figure out a way to make myself drink water at work. I am always dying of thirst by the time I go to lunch & get home, it's not that I don't drink water....I don't drink anything. Tomorrow I will try to take a break and drink at least a small cup of water in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Vickie 08-01-2005 09:55 PM

Rita, try a straw in a glass. For some reason it makes me drink more!

Vickie 08-02-2005 09:28 PM

I exceeded today's goals. I'm drinking the last of my 80 ounces of pure water and I exercised today in the pool even though I didn't promise to exercise. I'm tracking every single point that goes into my mouth!

pureTcrazy 08-02-2005 09:58 PM

Vickie, You are doing Great! I am on my first glass of water today. If work would just slow down some....and it's not going to anytime soon. I guess I am just making excuses for not finding the time. I have got to put myself first, but it can be difficult to do that sometimes.

Vickie 08-02-2005 10:02 PM

Oh Rita! The water is SO important and so are you. You know that the weight would just be flying off of you if you could get some water in, don't you? Maybe you could drink some on the way home and some at your Mom's? I'll bet she be glad to have a nice cold glass ready for you. I don't really like water much either but I have seen a definite difference in my weight losses on the weeks where I was really good about the water. You don't have to drink 10 glasses like me.

pureTcrazy 08-02-2005 10:20 PM

Thanks Vickie! I am gonna do it tomorrow! You are so right about the water helping the weight come off, I know when I drink water I have a much nicer loss. Once again I am gonna try to drink at least one glass in the morning and I will try to take a break at 9:30, then maybe one at lunch. I do pretty good after work usually. I have to confess though that I was so busy eating this evening that I just didn't drink. I had supper and dessert, then popcorn, then a fudge bar, I don't know what came over me. I knew I was full, but I wanted it. I should have tried to redirect myself! Tomorrow's a new day (thank goodness) and I am gonna eat well, but light and drink tons of water.

Rita, you can do it! Water is so important, like Vickie said, and I'm sure that if you are purposeful you can find ways to sneak it in. Good luck today!

I am not doing well with my plan this week ladies. I was so exhausted last night that I made supper (cola chicken) then basically went to bed. So no cleaning or exercising. I'm hoping that I feel better tonight so that I can at least get some exercise in. But I work late tonight, so I'm not counting on anything. Maybe I could at least use the gazelle for a few minutes. The home blessing will have to wait until tomorrow.

Revised Plan:
Wed:
menu-turkey sandwich, baked teriyaki chicken, loads of veggies and fruit
ex-20 mins gazelle
personal-bible/devo reading
Thurs:
menu-tuna salad and crackers, fish and potatoes
ex-2 mile walk (either WATP or outside)
personal-same
Fri:
menu-picnic in the park (?)
ex-none
personal-same
Sat:
ex-2 mile walk
personal-same plus home blessing
Sun:
ex-2 mile walk
personal-same

I'm off to walk on the treadmill now and drink my first 32 ounces of water when I'm done.

aghiowa 08-03-2005 09:20 AM

Well, I'm doing really well with everything on my plan BUT the eating. I kind of went off the deep end yesterday. Sitting around reading in the afternoon is just SO dangerous for me. Oh well, live and learn, right? :)

I will do better today.

Angela

I think that is the first time that I have ever read that sentence!!

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. I am so proud of myself for drinking my water today. I still didn't get much in at work, I drank almost all of it on the way to the doctor. I am drinking some now and going to have some watermelon in a bit! Thanks again!

pureTcrazy 08-04-2005 09:29 PM

I realized today that I can drink water at work. I finally bought a bottled out of the drink machine and just drank it down. Then a bit later I filled it at the cooler and did it again. I drank a glass of tea at Mom's and then drank another glass full of water! All that by lunch. I guess I was extra motivated today because I knew I had to weigh in. I am sure that the water made the difference in me losing or gaining tonight.

Vickie 08-05-2005 10:15 AM

Rita, YAY! I promise you that you will see a difference in your weigh ins. I don't know why but water is even more important on Core than on Flex. I can't wait to hear your happy news tonight! Is Chris drinking his water?

septembersgoal 08-05-2005 12:58 PM

OK, I have failed completely at my plan for the week. I'm good at coming up with these plans, but not with following through, huh?
I think someone else should do future challenges. I feel like a big hypocrite.

Froufy 08-05-2005 01:31 PM

My weekly challenge is just hanging in week to week - another more is too much for me in my weakened state....sigh.....

Keep on trying!
