I just feel like talking tonight and don't care where I do it! That's not good!

Speaking of food, has anyone watched ****'s Kitchen? It's pretty good.

septembersgoal 06-06-2005 09:16 PM

Kathy I'm watching it right now. Crazy. I sure couldn't work for that guy, I'd be in tears constantly. :stress:

Katpo 06-06-2005 09:18 PM

Sure does make me not want any squid!!

Okay, I promise not to talk in the menu thread anymore. Off to the chat board if I need to say something else.

kathy, what a hoot! your dh is a good eater, isn't he? mine is, too, but he's getting a little tired of core type foods. he has to have some cookies, ice cream, etc...... every now and then.

angela, my ex wasn't a veggie eater either. neither is my son. dh is, though. we eat a lot of veggies. he didn't like t he barley, though.

The only thing Jim objected to was couscous. Of course, the only veggies he will eat as a plain side dish are broccoli, fresh green beans (NO canned), and corn. He eat only a little bit of onions and red pepper if they are well cooked into a dish. Of course we both love mushrooms and garlic so they go in everything!

Oh yeah...add polenta to the no list. At least he tried the couscous. The polenta was a no go from the beginning.

Breakfast: Oatmeal made with skim and 1 banana cooked in

Lunch: One cup FF cottage cheese and 8 oz Del Monte Fruit Natural Pineapple cup

Snack: Farina made with skim and 1 Tablespoon smart balance light

Dinner: Ruby Tuesdays - not sure what yet

Snack: SF/FF lemon pudding

Monkeypoodle 06-07-2005 12:58 PM

B: ff plain yogurt with strawberries and splenda
L: LO shrimp creole
S: cafe latte with soy milk and a shot of sugar free vanilla
D: If I meet or exceed my WI goal tonight - Popeye's naked chicken strips & a biscuit (15 pts?)
If I don't - brown rice, beans, salsa & soy cheese.

X: 30 minutes of combo run & walk

Froufy 06-07-2005 04:20 PM

What I really ate - so far!

1 apple fritter donut
decaf w/cream

Lunch: salmon, brown rice, peas
1 apple

Snack: 1 lemon poppyseed muffin, handful of chips

Dinner - bad trend happening here! I'm not really hungry - leaving work soon - but I am so depressed I am hankering for some comfort food big time - maybe scrambled eggs if I get hungry later??? I need some good news or something to cheer me up - and it ain't happening!

septembersgoal 06-07-2005 07:45 PM

Had to edit my menu too. Realized I had no chicken to make cola chicken. Oh well!

Katpo 06-07-2005 08:26 PM

I'm not even going to edit mine, but I just got home and am NOT in the mood to cook. I'll try to convince DH to go out; if not, I'll go pick something up and I guarantee it will not be Core-friendly.

And that's okay with me right now. :)

septembersgoal 06-07-2005 08:28 PM

Kathy, you sound tired? Maybe you can find something core-ish but that will still let you feel like you're eating comfort food. Hope you have a good night! :goodvibes:
