I feel so left out of the "split pea soup for lunch" crowd! Waaaahhhh!!!
|
My soup turned out really yummy. Never before would I have even tried split pea soup, much less enjoyed it though. I cooked up the peas for a long time with some onion and celery. Then I put about 2/3 of it through the blender so it was nice and smooth. Then I fried up some canadian bacon, stirred it in and simmered it for a while. Oh yeah, and I added lots of salt. Mmm. I'll have more tomorrow.
