What a handome little guy! I LOVE animals.

I don't know how DH is going to sleep tonight without his baby beside him. He sleeps under the covers, right next to him ... I'm usually upstairs in the guest room with my baby Precious sleeping right next to me, also under the covers. We never thought we'd have little dogs (used to have all labs) but these little pound pups fell into our lives and now we're lost without them!

Hope DH and Zuki both did alright last night without each other, Kathy. Any chance Zuki will get to come home today? I know y'all are anxious for him to return ... poor little guy! All this fuss over a lipstick! :) Just kidding, of course ... hopefully, the surgery fixed all that, right?

He's so cute - and tiny! I bet you are both missing him!!! Hope he is all okay and back home soon!

Frouf:)

I went to see him early this morning and they let me take him home. DH was so surprised to see him -- and so since I was already dressed and he wasn't, he stayed home today to oversee things and I'll stay home tomorrow. Hopefully by Thursday he can stay by himself. They had to do some plastic surgery/reconstruction on his tummy area; there's a horseshoe shaped line of stitches around his little thingy and then more stitches on it. He was crying when I left because I think he's in a lot of pain. Well, sort of a moan-cry-whimper but his eyes were closed so you could tell he was hurting. :(

Thanks for all the good thoughts.

No pain killers for him? When my MacDuff had surgery for bladder cancer, he got doggy pain killers. Another time when he had a cyst removed they let us give him a small piece of aspirin or tylenol. I can't remember which it was though. One you can give dogs and the other you can't. So check with your Vet. He couldn't even lay down until we gave him the aspirin, then he laid down and went to sleep. Hope he's better soon. I would have cried to see him this morning if I was your husband!

Kathy he is adorable so is Precious and Katana and Judd's cute too ;)
What kind of dogs are they?
I had little guys too (he lives with mom now)

Thanks you guys! Precious is a 4 lb. chihuahua, I call her Grandma. She's a sweet old lady, 7-8 years old, that we got from a breeder who wanted to get rid of her because her puppies were too small and not living. When we heard that story, we just had to have her so I drove 6 hours one way to pick her up. :( The conditions were deplorable; it was a true puppy mill that needs to be shut down. Zuki's a bigger chihuahua with those Doberman colors. He's our boy.

Katana wandered up one day two summers ago and just made himself at home. That picture of him sleeping on the table is my very favorite.

Zuki has Rimadyl for pain, but I don't think it's working so great. He had morphine yesterday and last night. I think they should give us something stronger so Judd's going to ask for some today.

Vickie 03-01-2005 11:14 AM

Wow, Rimadyl is usually pretty good but it doesn't work for everyone. Same as people with medicine.
