Menu for Valentine's Day

I thought I'd start the menu thread for today.

b: crustless pumpkin pie, milk
s: banana
l: leftover chinese chicken spaghetti, milk
d: Classic Salisbury Steak (I'll post the recipe if it turns out any good), peas, milk

I am determined to rid myself of this sugar problem. I have committed to NO SUGAR (except natural - like from fruit) for 2 weeks. I can do it!!

Monday's Munchies

Back to Core (after my "crappy" weekend eating! ha ha ha  )

Breakfast:
4 oz cup sf/ff nectarine yogurt
decaf w/light cream

Snack?? banana or soy cheese if hungry

Lunch: homemade soup (barley, split pea/beef vegetable)
fruit salad (green & red grapes, blueberries and strawberries)

Snack: raw veggies (cauliflower, celery, radishes) and lf ranch dip

Dinner: Hamburger (lean) w/mixed veggies and maybe I'll make MASHED POTATOES (in the mood for this - but this was a real childhood comfort food so may need to avoid this as I would tend to binge on this??? - TRIGGER FOOD!!!! :hot: )....okay maybe no mashed potatoes??? How about sweet potato? Yummy and not a trigger food for me!

Kally: Your menu looks good - sounds like you got all your milk in - I assume the rice is brown, the pudding is sf/ff and that you are using the oil in the morrocan chicken?? I would suggest a couple pieces of fruit if you get hungry ( I guess the smoothie would have some fruit in it too?).

Froufie:)

thanks froufy.
Yes i am augmenting with fruit and veg snacks.
Are pickled herring core?

Froufy 02-14-2005 12:42 PM

I hope so!!! (what is it pickled in?). I enjoy the occasional "marinated herring", altho I know there is some sugar in the "brine". Quite tangy and filling!

Kally, looking good. I think Frouf hit on it all.

Breakfast: Oatmeal made with skim and banana cooked in

Lunch: Eggbeater omelet (no oil or butter), with avocado, FF cheddar, and salsa. Strawberry and grape fruit salad. This is my favorite restaturant! My food was fabulous! Can't wait to have it again. They serve fresh fruit cups but let you pick what you want if you are Special!

Dinner: Not sure...depends on how long Hubby's Dr.'s appointment takes. May be a new Core recipe, Chicken with Garlic Sauce over brown rice (a point for cornstarch), salad, broccoli

Snack: ?
