Healty Harvest Pasta....Core?

Can someone confirm if Ronzoni Healty Harvest Pasta (Whole Wheat Blend Pasta) is Core or not. I checked my Complete Food Companion book and did not find it at all in there.

Ingredients are :
Enriched Semolina, Durum Wheat Bran, Durum Flour Durum Wheat Germ.

If it is not whole wheat then it is not Core.

HeatherTX 10-12-2004 06:47 PM

It is not core as it is not 100% whole wheat.

I guess I will have to use my Points for that mistake.

What name brand do you all use? The ones in the book I have never heard of and can't find in the supermarkets I go to.

I can only find WW pasta in the "health food" section of my supermarket, and mainly in the bulk containers. I am seeing it more, esp with the SB and Atkins diets being so popular.

I use Hodgson Mill's. The angel hair is the best in my opinion since it is so thin.

I am able to buy DeCecco which makes a WW penne that is quite good.

Hodgeson Mills makes spagetti, rigatoni, even elbow macaroni, all 100% whole wheat. Tastes great, too! :)

Trader Joe's has fantastic WW organic pasta in Rotelle, rigatoni, linguini and spaghetti :)

The only 100% whole wheat that I have found around where I live is DeCecco also. The penne is not bad.

My Trader Joe's only carries penne. They told me to go to Whole Foods Market. Where do you buy this Hodgeson Mills brand?

You can also buy whole wheat pasta at Walmart. The brands I buy are Hodgen's Mill and Heartland. I also recommend the angel hair. I also like the rotini.

enjoy,

Thanks everybody for your response.

I went to Whole foods today and picked up a 100% Whole Wheat flour spaghetti. Now my other question to you all is 100% Whole Wheat Flour and 100% Whole Wheat Semolina the same thing.

At first I was going to pick up the 100% Whole Wheat Semolina box don't recall the name brand and decided not to and put it back. I then bought the 100% Whole Wheat Flour one. As I was about to leave the isle I noticed another box that said 100% Whole Wheat Flour on the front of the box and then the back of the box where the ingredients were listed said 100% Whole Wheat Flour. I am confused......................helppppppppppppppp

100% whole wheat flour is fine.
