I had forgotten about that summer after graduating from college until Rhonda mentioned Texas in August .
I had a guy friend that graduated from college the year before me and was in Coloroda . He talked me into flying out and driving back to NC with him by way of Ca & Texas..The deal was I paid for my way out there, lodging & my meals but he would pay for most of the gas. Then in Texas( during the 1980 heat wave) I think he decided that if he roasted me with no AC that I would offer to pay more gas $, but I can handle heat pretty well so it didn't work. The whole trip was awkward because I discovered he liked me as more than a friend and I didn't feel the same ..I was so glad to finally get home..
140 isn't my final goal, but a goal for this spring. Kinda excited to shed some pounds this last few weeks.

Hi Chicks! Just popped in to say hello. We have rather bad house stuff going on write now that is demanding all my time.
Solid surface sink we installed in 2004 is having crazing issues....cracks...and we are fighting with company to get them to replace the sink. Looking good but the old one will have to be cut out and the new one fused/fabricated without moving or destroying the counter top.
And, as if that weren't enough...the new concrete driveway that we installed last June has problems. First the main color of the driveway doesn't match the color of the small approach at the curb. They were poured on separate days. And today we noticed that it is pitting and crumbling in many sections of the main part.
Sigh. You pay good money and bad stuff still happens.
And my hiatel hernia was already aggravated.
Arggghhhh.....

Just got back from meeting DD in Hot Springs, Arkansas for a couple of days. We had a good visit and got to go to a bath house! Soaked, scrubbed, steamed, wrapped in hot towels then massaged. It was awesome! Hope you all are doing well.
Congrats, Nancy
Sorry about your house troubles, Vickie
Glad you are loving your tutoring, Sandra
Hope your church meeting went well, Rhonda
Hey, Maryann

Nancy, it was awesome! 1 1/2 hours of hot springs treatments and massage for $64! DD and I loved it. We are definitely going back!

Vickie, I'm sorry about your house problems. I hope all gets resolved soon.
I'm tired this evening, so I'll be brief here. Nancy, I am glad you got home safely from that trip.

Good Morning Chicks! Problems abound but at least we have our health.
Eating is ok....exercise falling to the wayside. The day after Easter brings new commitment though I am being good now. Bloodwork tomorrow morning!
Light and love to you all.

yoo hoo Sandra?
I've been so good with low carb and gained 2 pounds. Today I just ate.
I did more yard work, and am really tired again...but, that's good.

Spent the day yesterday helping my cousin clean out closets to prepare for
having hardwoods put down next week. Her closets make me feel better about
mine I am trying hard to begin to ask "do I use or love this ?" about all my stuff.
I am going to use the weekend to work in my yard and then my oldest son will be home next week..
Wishing everyone a nice Easter weekend

I've been making horrible food choices. It's time to rethink what I'm doing. I have been eating like I had no weight problems at all. Guess what. I have a weight problem.
Okay, I'm through whining. Ya'll have a great Easter weekend. I'm sure I'll see you here again before Sunday but didn't want to miss sending good wishes just in case.
