good morning chicks.

I'm sure all the insomniacs are sound asleep.

Nancy, your secret is safe with us. Keep us posted.

Jackie, have fun in Biloxi. I think Jimmy Buffet opened a new casino in Vegas too.

Maryann, sorry you need a new fridge. I would think they should last more than 12 years. Back in the good old days, they lasted 25 yrs or more.

Sandra, hope you enjoyed that snickers bar. Yum.

sloan, sorry about your family loss.

I made good progress on the room yesterday. I want to paint and can't decide on color.

Pam, you've inspired me, too! I have a "hoarders" room, and I worked in it some yesterday. DS is starting a new job next week, so he is home and helped me move some heavy stuff. My goal is to have it organized by Saturday afternoon!

Mornin' chickies!

Mornin', Sloan. I've got to have my done by Thursday night. I'm not doing it all though.

I fell asleep, woke up at 5:30 waiting for the dog to disturb me and fell asleep again. When I got up at 9:45 both she and DH were sleeping...she had not been fed or out. I guess she tried to wake me and I just slept. She doesn't seem any worse for wear.

I've got a morning of chores, then this afternoon I'm doing some volunteer work and shopping.

I had a good cry last night then slept like a baby. Don't know if that's the trick or whether I'd even recommend it, though. Today we're going to the doctor to find out if Curtis will need his artificial shoulders replaced. I went to WW this am and was up .8 pound. Everybody there got on my nerves. Well, not everybody but several. I know it was because I had gained and because I'm nervous for Curtis. Life goes on. And I changed my tracker.

I hope all of you sleep better tonight. I hate those sleepless nights.

You all sound like you are being productive. That's good. Enjoy the afternoon. I should be back here this evening some time to check up on you.

Hi Ladies

Thanks for your input on my fridge I'm going out to Sears, and getting a Kenmore,if the one I have needs to be put to sleep. Spoke to my handyman and he told me to go to sears and see what the repair man says. So I'm making an appointment with the sears repair man he's coming on Thursday to see if it just a clogged hose,if not I will get a new one.

NANCY- Be careful of face book-I don't trust that site, too many things happening there. A friend was hacked from there several years ago. Good luck in your new adventures.

JACKIE-Thanks,My handyman told me to have the repairman come to the house so I didn't cancel the appointment. I'll see if he can fix it,for a reasonable price if not I will go to sears and purchase a new one.

SANDRA-Hope you challenging week goes smoothly for you. Yes we enjoyed the movie, and tomorrow I'm going down to Woods Hole with Rita for the 4th,hope it won't be too crowded for us.We both decided not to go by car but to get the bus at the Walmart Mall.

PAM-You can say that again,I remember when I was first married the appliance lasted forever now at day your lucky to have last at all.

Have to start dinner have a great day

Maryann, I say buy a new one. It broke down before??? All the money you are paying to repairmen, you could buy a new one and not have to worry about it. It should outlast you, hopefully.

Sandra, why did you cry yourself to sleep? Hope Curtis got good news. Hey, .08 is not quite a pound, so don't worry about it. It was probably that darn snickers bar, lol. Some days everyone gets on my nerves too. You are probably just worried about your man.

Pam, I was having a low moment worrying about Curtis. Today I was feeling more optimistic. I got over the bad mood I had at WW. Thank goodness! I don't think anyone would want to be around me otherwise.

Maryann, good luck with your fridge.

Nancy, I am still excited for you. I agree with Rhonda that you should give it a chance and see what happens.

Now as to Curtis--Today we got what's probably the best news possible. He's to go to his cardiologist next Wed to get clearance for shoulder surgery. If he gets the clearance, he's getting a new rotator cuff for his right shoulder Monday, July 16. That's quick, isn't it?

His left shoulder replacement looks a little frayed, but Dr. Milne thinks it should be all right without a redo. That's our good news.

Recovery will take about 3 months. He's outside now shooting his bow. He wants to go fishing Friday. I'm thinking Whitney may be too crowded for good fishing, but we'll prob go anyway. If we don't go Fri for some reason, I'm cancelling Monday swim and we'll go then. This will be his last chance for weeks (months).

Tomorrow is our next gathering. I have my cake in the fridge chilling. I'll top it later. I'm making another WW Dreamsicle Cake. Life is good. Have a good evening, all.

Darn..I guessed wrong..He is married ..
I am glad for him that he is though...We are going to grab lunch Thursday & catch up...Still excited to see an old friend after so long..

Trying to decide whether to go to Concert & Fireworks tomorrow with my cousin. Its going to be 97 and there is a forecast of severe thunderstorms..

Sloan..I found really good gluten free crackers today. They are made by Blue Diamond and called Nut Thins..They had them at Target and had lots of flavors.
I got the "hint of sea salt " almond ones..Now I can have hummus & crackers

Poor Curtis. I know it's good news, but it's still surgery and rehab. He (and you) have all my sympathy.

i took my great niece to church tonight to help decorate the float and tomorrow we'll be in the July 4th parade. I took her out for ice cream too at our REAL ice cream parlor downtown and we had fun. She likes to hang out with me, most of the time

I didn't have much ice cream...just 4 ounces. My eating has been good today.

Rats, Nancy! Oh well, have fun. I see an old boyfriend for lunch every now and again, and he's married too. It's fun.

I buy Nut Thins here and have them with hummus also...very crunchy and tasty.

Sandra, that is fast. Hope it all works out. I thought maybe you were worried and that is what put you in a foul mood. My sister had surgery on both her shoulders. I'm sure he will feel much better after he rehabilitates.

Nancy, darn. Is his wife coming to lunch?

Rhonda, ice cream sounds good. I want chocolate with almonds.

My stir fry turned out really good. I have a lot left over so I'll finish it up the next couple days. I had it over bulgur instead of rice.

Happy Fourth Chicks!

I'm not feeling well and I have a BBQ go to. Will see how I feel later. It feels like food poisoning or a bug.

HAPPY JULY 4TH AND INDEPENDENCE DAY LADIES

LOOKS LIKE WE ARE GOING TO HAVE RAIN THROWN ON OUR CELEBRATION TODAY,but Rita are I are still going down to Wood Hole for our part. We're going via bus that we pick up at the Walmart Plaza. I really wanted to go to MV but Rita thinks it going to be too crowded and now they are predicting thunderstorms so its not a good idea to be on the water that that time.

THANKS LADIES-I'm first going to get the repairman in as advice by my handy man and than I'll go from there,if its too expensive to fix than I'll go to Sears and buy a cream color fridge as all my appliances in my kitchen are cream. Only Sears has that color.

Have to go and met my friend Rita

HAVE A WONDERFUL 4 OF JULY HOLIDAY
