    It's Early Monday morning and thought I would start the new pages since I think that Rhonda who usually takes care of it is still in TX.

  • Good Morning from cloudy overcast Schenectady, NY.

    Of course yesterday started out the same and it turned out to be a beautiful day. Yesterday we went to the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. It was a lot of fun and I was proud of myself we went back to the car and ate lunch rather than just grabbing something there. It probably didn't take much more time but it was more work. I didn't do to bad at dinner either, but breakfast on the other hand.....

    Patti - Happy Thanksgiving have fun.

    Rhonda - if you're back hope you enjoyed your trip.

    Coco - Get those veggies cleaned!!! I got mine cleaned but haven't eaten any yet. Trying to eat the bananas first they're stinking up the car

    Sandra - we're moving around, yesterday we were in Cooperstown, today we head east to NH, first (weather permitting) we're going to a National Historic Site that's a garden of a famous sculptor, before heading to the White Mountains for a few days. We then head south to Boston with a couple of stops, and then back east to Hyde Park, NY and the Culinary Institute of America, then south a bit to Steamtown the National Train Museum, and then home, we'll be gone for 2 weeks total and get home on my birthday. Glad you enjoyed your visit with Rhonda and Doyle. How's the move coming? Good luck getting back on track today.

    Well DH is out of the shower so I should get moving have a great day everyone.

  • Hello! I am considering joining WW because I need more structure and support. I would like to know if anyone thinks that the plan is a good one for someone following a vegan diet. Is there only one plan (with points) or are there other plans too? Thanks!
  • well its amazing how easy it is to fall off when you have been doing so well.. every day i say today is the day i get myself back on track and seems every day bout this time its like omg i cant believe i ate that today or how come im having such a hard time being focused. im planning and trying and it seems every day i get outta control again.

    I just planned my breakfast and lunch for tomorrow and i also plan on going to the gym after work... i have my bag packed in the car. hopefully i can have an on track and on program day tomorrow. i know the program works.. i just have to do my share

    I am recommitting to WW (the core plan) I really believe if I would get all the white stuff out of my diet I would feel better.
    I started the new year out telling my self I was losing this weight this year.
    Guess what its October and I haven't done much.
    So I would like to join in and start eating the core way and most of all trying to change old eating habits.

  • Donna, I'm glad you're able to be online while traveling. Thank you for telling us about your trip. Sounds like you're having a good time and are also making healthy eating choices.

    I don't know if we'll be setting up base at my son's or not. It's hard to explain but things (septic, well, driveway, etc....) are getting very very complicated and also super expensive. We may purchase 2 acres close to them that are already set up with everything we'd need. We'd still be close just not next door.

    Rhonda, this is a piece of land we just saw today. We had a great time visiting with you two. You betcha' you're going to be flinging arrows when you move down here.

    Karen, when you go to a WW meeting, you can choose from 2 plans--Core and Flex. Also, they have a plan for Vegans. I don't know exactly what it is, but they have one.

    Audrey, you're definitely not alone, girl. I have been having problems staying OP, too. So have many of us. I wish you the best of success. Just hang in there. Do you go to meetings? Curtis and I are going back to WW in the AM. We're thinking going to meetings will definitely help us stay focused. I don't know what all is going on in your life now, but ours is full of changes and indecision. WW has not been a priority to us lately. For us to be successful, it has to be a priority. Takes more energy to stay OP than to deviate. I wish us all the best.


    TLC, it's October for me, too, and I haven't done well this year either. I like what Audrey said, "i know the program works.. i just have to do my share." Guess we need to get busy, don't we?

    I bought a get well card for a gf the other day. What it said applies to all of us: "Put your big girl panties on and deal with it."

    Seriously, I know we all can lose weight. Let's deal with it. (I'm mainly talking to myself here.)

    Yes, you are so true we know it works there are to many success stories.
    I am trying to decide whether to go to the meeting tonight. I live in a small town and our meetings are lacking in some areas. But I do give them credit for at least making the effort to offer one.
    So right now I am starting the program online. I need lots of support sad to say.
    Good luck to all and lets stay on program at least keep me on track.

    I forgot to tell ya'll yesterday how cute Rhonda and Doyle looked when they drove up in a PT Cruiser convertible. They were darling.

    Curtis and I went to WW this AM for the first time since before we sold our house. He had gained 3. something. I had gained 6.6. Honestly, we were relieved that was all we'd gained. However, we are both back on Core now and are going strong.

    Rhonda should be home sometime today. Hey, girl, I'm sitting at the table typing now. When I was cooking lunch, I had the puter on the island and would turn and type. (Just to give you a picture)

    Have a great Monday everying, everyone. We're going to watch "Biggest Loser." Do you know their theme song? "What Have You Done Today to Make Yourself Feel Proud"?

    We're proud we went back to WW and are back on Core. How about ya'll? Whatcha' proud of today?

    Sandra, your set up sounds adorable. How much room do we really need? How about some pictures?

    Just a quick check in.
    Not much happening here.
    Did finally get some of my veggies cleaned. Still have the celery, lettuce and cauilflower to do.
    Oh I did manage to lose a pound last night. So still have a pound to lose from last week. Cause I gained 2.
    JUSTATTITUDE Hang in there. I am right there with you. I will do really good for awhile. And then bam. Get off track. And cant get back on. That is going on with me right now. One thing that has helped me some. Is journaling. And I do attend the meetings. No matter what the scales says. And the support here is great. ONE BITE AT A TIME!!!!
    TIC2059 WELCOME!! This is a wonderful board. The ladies here are very supportive. Dont know what I would do without them. They have helped me alot. I am with you. I have let too many carbs back in. I have got to get away from them. Its hard. But once I do. I do feel alot better. So together we can get through this.
    ONTARGET Glad you got to go to your meeting. Remember to drink plenty of water this week.
    TECHALUM That is wonderful that you ate your lunch you brought. Instead of grabbing something. Dont you feel good. That you stuck to your plans. I know when I stick to what I planned. I feel better about myself. And think ok. That made me feel good. I did it once. I can do it again. Have a great time on your trip. Oh. Did get some veggies cleaned. Will finish them tomorrow.

  • Hi All and to the newbies!

    We're home, and had a great trip. Sandra's told you that we got to see each other often and that was just fantastic. Their "condo" is really cute and compact. They won't have to spend a lot of time cleaning, that's for sure.

    Sandra, those 6 pounds will come off soon: don't fret.

    So, back to being OP and getting some Thank goodness we were gone only 4 days. There is too much high fat, high calorie food everywhere, especially when travelling and at the mercy of restaurants.

    See you tomorrow. Right now, I need to clean up and head for bed!

    Well I'm now on in Fryeburg, ME. We had a great day. Yesterday was pretty cloudy and icky, and the drive over was pretty slow. But we made it and today was beautiful, although it started raining as we came back from dinner (check out the pic). I have seriously fallen off the wagon. But I am sticking to the plan I made for this vacation. I'm tracking what I eat, walking as much as possible, and drinking at least 3 bottles of water. It's pretty much the best I can do.

    Sandra - ooo on that 6 lbs. Hope you can get back on track. And I am proud that I walked the Flume today It is a 2 mile hike part of which is thru a gorge, and all of which was going up hill or down, neither of which is easy.

    Rhonda - glad you enjoyed your trip. Good luck getting back on track.

    Coco - Congratulations on loosing that pound!!! The other will come off.

    Vicki - You should be proud that you've been exercising and eating core, remember baby steps.

    Terri and Audrey - Welcome!!!

    Karen - Like Sandra said, there are 2 plans @ WW. Flex which counts points and Core which has a list of foods you can eat from. I don't know how those would fit a vegan diet, I know they have a vegetarian supplement but you would need to check it.

  • Karen, I thought I'd answered you. Sorry. I think you could follow either Core or Flex. You might need to talk to a WW leader about what would be better for you.

    Coco, congratulations on losing that pound. Sounds like you're back on track.

    Rhonda, I'm glad you made it home safely. (I'm on the brown couch typing.) All is dusted and swept. Life is good.

    Donna, sounds like you're having fun and doing well on program. Way to go, girl.

    Vickie, you're doing awesome. Don't you feel proud? I am proud for you. Now, I hope ya'll can be proud of me.
