Aw, I miss you too girl! :) I just happened to come by here today. I'm looking for meals to freeze-ahead so that after the baby is born I can have good food without cooking. I remembered we had some on here so I thought I'd come and try to find them. And of course I had to stop by the "chat" thread to see what was going on! :D

Things are going okay here with us. I'm now 24 weeks along, only 16 more weeks until our due date!! Our little girl seems to be doing just fine. I'm finally starting to really show and look pregnant although most people still do not assume that. I guess it's a good thing, but I often feel that I look more fat than pregnant! ;)

It seems like you're all still plugging along. In a few short months I'll be back here with you all. I'm trying my best not to go crazy with the food, but I'm at that point in pregnancy where my hunger will not be satisfied! All I want to do is eat! :hamburger: But I think I've only gained between 10-12 pounds, which isn't too bad. Of course I don't weight myself, I just let the doctor do it, so we'll see when I go back next Friday.

Well I'm going to search for some freezer meals and then maybe do some work today. ;) Keep on going girls, you can do it!!

Hello All,

Just got back from WW and I lost 5 lbs  Even deducting the unearned gain from last week that's still 3.4 over two weeks. I'm pretty happy and it gets me well onto that Thanksgiving goal. Plus the summer (formerly Frouf's lose 2 cruise 2) goal actually looks doable :)

I did absolutely nothing healthy (well except chop and freeze tomatoes) on Monday. But yesterday I was pretty much back on track. I had the worst hang over feeling and since I hadn't been drinking enough for that I can only believe it was from the unhealthy food I ate all weekend. So it's back on track for real.

Sandra - Things are moving fast! Sometimes when life is that :dizzy: eating healthy slides to the back burner. Good luck getting back on track.

Coco - Welcome back, did you have fun? When I don't drink enough water I always gain. I think my body holds on to what it does get. So drink that water!!!

Patti - What do you do for work? Bears  not sure my dog would be much help he'd want to attack (have I mentioned he has rocks for brains).

Rhonda - Glad Anna's hanging in there. Good luck rearranging your schedule to get in the :exercise:

Angela - Sounds like you're having a fun, busy summer. I love :bike2: too. I think I'm going to have dh bring in the trainer so I can keep riding after it gets cold.

Melisa - glad your pregnancy is doing well.

Well, gotta go grab lunch and run errands. Have a great day everyone.

Hey, Podna!!!!! What a wonderful surprise seeing you here. Sounds like everything's going well with you and "Little Melissa." How is Aaron holding up? Is he gaining weight? While you're checking out freezeable recipes, take a peek at the core Mexican cornbread recipe I posted. It's pretty good and freezes well.

Donna, :woohoo: girl!! You are definitely reaping the benefits from your efforts. Five pounds is amazing!

We're still running in circles. Not much else going on around here.

Coco, the condo is still at the dealership getting some detailing and minor things done to it. We'll get it and start loading it Saturday. Well, the couch is already in it. The guys came yesterday and picked it up so they could get it into the condo this week before they started cleaning carpet, etc....

We are exhausted. I have never seen Curtis work so hard for so long. We're retired and don't normally do much that we don't want to do. Right now we are very very involved in things that are very different for us. And that's all I know about that.

Tejas 09-05-2007 10:04 PM

Hi All:

Nice to hear that Melissa's pregnancy is progressing well...and Tech, well, FIVE pounds...that's wonderful.

I was awful today, but even so, I avoided some even more awful foods, so that's a little NSV for me today.

Anna hangs on, seemingly still enjoying life and being carted around in her sling. She weighs 70 pounds, so we have been getting a workout carrying her rump in a sling. But she just takes off on those front legs with us trailing behind trying not to trip over her while we hold on to the sling!! It's a funny sight, actually. The neighbors are getting a kick out of it.

Night all,
Rhonda

Hi, girls. I have been up over 3 hours shredding papers. The appraiser for the buyers' bank will be here in a few minutes. We are so ready for this to be over. At first "things' were "I definitely want to keep this." Then "I may need this some day." Now they have become, "Toss that away."

Downsizing to an RV is really something else. No leaving things in dresser drawers cuz we're not taking any dresser drawers.

Rhonda, you and Doyle are such a sweet couple working with Anna like you are. Don't worry about the food right now. I know I'm not.

Got to go do more shredding.

coco99 09-06-2007 07:11 PM

Hi Everyone
Well we have had a hot day today. Here it is 7:00 pm and it is still 90 degrees. And it is suppose to be even hotter tomorrow. And the humidity is to be up. YUCK!!!!
ONTARGET I need to shred some papers myself. But I need to get me a new shredder. Mine has just about had it. Cant shred to many papers at a time. Then it starts to get hot. And I need to go through things that are boxed up. That I never use. And get rid of it. But then I start. And then think. Oh so and so got me this. So dont want to get rid of it. But do need to do something. Have so many boxes of stuff. And most of them I dont even know what is in them. So guess it is time to get rid of it.
P.A. Congrats on the 7 lb loss. That is wonderful. That is great that your clothes are fitting better. And just think. Pretty soon. Smaller size. Wont that be wonderful.
TEJAS That is wonderful you are helping your doggie. Anna will love you even more for helping her. Glad she seems to be feeling better.
TECHALUM How are you today. Hope you had a good day.
TO EVERYONE ELSE "HI"
Well I am going to get off here for now. Go where it is cool. Where my computer is. The air conditioner dont cool that room.
So know that I am thinking of each of you.
coco

Tejas 09-06-2007 07:46 PM

coco, the humidity in Toronto has been almost unbearable today. We have had quite a few days of perfect weather; today it's Swampland again!

Congratulations, Patti..that's a wonderful loss!

I don't have anything new to report...hanging in here and looking forward to the weekend.

Tomorrow...

Rhonda

TechAlum 09-06-2007 11:13 PM

Hello All,

Not much new to report, hot and humid here too. I had a pretty bad day and didn't feel like cooking when I got home. I can say at least I don't have much junk left in the fridge. However I did eat most of it.....

Patti - :broc: yea on the loss!!!! I just have to ask what does VFT stand for?

Rhonda - every step in the right direction is a good step. Maybe you didn't do great but you did better than you would have before.

Sandra - You'll be happy when this is all done. I imagine it would take a lot of purging. I can't imagine dealing with all that.

Well, I should go crash before I shove more un-needed food in my mouth :o.

:angel:VFT= virgin fat territory....
Its been very crappy weather here the last couple of days. But muggy as well. Not our normal fall weather thats for sure. Eating is still going great. Im trying to eat salads for lunch every day....I have to think of different ones though so I dont get bored with them. I can eat oatmeal every day and not get bored but salads?? Ill have to see. dh is gone this weekend...but its a busy one for me. (dont tell Sandra but Ill prob get more christmas shopping in too)

ontarget 09-07-2007 05:21 PM

I heard that, Patti! I am proud of you. I'm still shredding when I'm not eating.

coco99 09-07-2007 08:12 PM

Hi Everyone
Nothing going on here.
But am having some trouble with eating right now. I am wanting alot of carbs right now. And I dont want to eat them. And am wanting salt.
I went to the store today. And got alot of veggies and some grapes. I did get some canned fruit. Now to wash it all. I was wanting somthing today. So went and got me a cup of baby carrots and ate those. but it didnt satisfiy my craving for carbs. Any ideas on how to handle this.
Am suppose to go to my Aunts tomorrow night. And my cousins are going to be there. Well they are ordering pizza. So am thinking I will make my own and take. I use those flat out wraps as my crust. And then add veggies and turkey pepperoni on it. It usually comes out to be about 8 points. But I get 4 pieces of pizza for that. That way I wont feel left out. And I thought I would take me some grapes. We are going to watch a movie. WILD HOGS and they are talking about having popcorn too. Talked about making it the old fashion way on the stove. So thought I might eat a little of that. So trying to make plans.
Still warm here. But may be some rain on the way. And then it is to cool down. Cant wait for that.
Well am going to get off here for now.
Am thinking of each of you.
Hope everyone had a good day.
Night

Tejas 09-07-2007 09:46 PM

Hi All:

Well, Coco, I can't help with the carb craving....just get through it I guess trying not to do damage. I've never found a good substitute!! But, I think your pizza idea is a good one. I've got to go out tomorrow night with some carb fanatics myself and it's going to be tough.

I did OK with points today but didn't eat well. I'll get back to sanity this weekend. It was an unbelievably crazy week, as the first week with the students back always is.

I believed that Anna was reaching the end of her tolerance this morning but when I came home she was chipper as she could be! :crazy:I've taken her to my ex-husband's apartment for the night. DH and I need a rest!

We went out to dinner, and all I had was soup. NO appetite, again. I'll have some yogurt and go to bed! I lead such an exciting life!!

Maybe I should go Christmas shopping???

Rhonda
