Starting on Monday

  • I'm a WW retread. Back in the 1970s I went from 165 to 113 on WW (that was in the measure and weigh everything days). The weight gradually crept up because I never was much good at Maintenance, and about ten years later I lost another 20 lbs on WW. I mentioned to a good friend that I really need to lose weight, especially since I'm a Type 2 diabetic. He's lost 25 lbs on Core and recommended it, so I'm starting meetings on Monday. I do my shopping once a week, on Thursdays, and have been reading about Core so I can lay in a stock of Core foods and be all ready come Monday.
  • Welcome, Fubsy! I'm a retread also as many of us are on this board. I just talked about this at my last WW meeting. We were talking about things we would do differently this time around. I said that this time I would not make the mistake of thinking I was done when I got to goal. Actually, I've never gotten to goal, just close.

    We hang out most days on the Core chat thread. We have a different one each week. It's where we talk about our ideas, successes, and every day trials and tribulations that are affecting our weight loss. Come hang out with us. I certainly could use the enthusiasm of a newbie!

  • Welcome Fusby! Glad to have you.I went from Flex to Core myself and I do enjoy Core more. Never thought I'd try core cause I like the freedom of flex but it was to flexible for me.Core is much more healthier for type ll thats for sure! Good luck and come join us!
