15 minute core dinner
http://www.septemberhouse.net/fitquest/salmon.jpg
Poached Salmon, mixed veggies (haricot vert, yellow beans and carrots), brown rice. The rice was Trader Joe’s frozen brown rice. Total cooking time: 15 minutes. Core doesn't have to be hard. |
Looks good to me! Except I'd dry broil my salmon. I like it with the dark singed pieces!

I agree it looks better broiled. This was just farm raised Atlantic salmon. I would definitely broil wild salmon.
In a perfect world I'd have made a poaching liquid by adding spring onions and lemon slices to the water but I was just too lazy. |
I dont eat seafood but it looks good. How did you get ur brown rice to look so not brown rice?
I love rice I have attempted to make brown rice 3 times, all both very nasty, wonder if its a texure thing to me or I just dont like brown rice. |
Tiki - see if you can find brown BASMATI rice - very delicious - and turns out every time - you do need to cook it a bit longer tho!

The brown rice for this dinner was a precooked one from Trader Joe's.
It does look lighter than regular brown rice. I agree that the basmati brown rice is very different from regular brown rice and you may like it a whole lot better. |
I will look for both,I have a trader joes in my town I will check it out.Ive been meaning to go since this is my first time having a trader joes near me.Thanks so much!
