Cabbage Recipe
6 thin strips of turkey bacon
3 tblsp unsalted butter 1 tsp instant chicken granules (or 1 crushed cube chicken bouillion) 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper 1/2 cabbage, thinly sliced 1/8 cup of water 1/4 tsp Splenda for Cooking or alternative (optional) Slowly cook the bacon in a large skillet, leaving it still pliable (do not cook crisp!). Add the butter, chicken granules, salt, pepper and Splenda. Stir until melted. Add water and bring to just barely boiling, then lower heat. Add cabbage, mix well and then cover tightly. Simmer just until tender, about 10 minutes. Serving size: 1 cup |
