1 can Swanson Chicken Broth -- 14 1/2 ounce cans
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves, crushed
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder -- or 2 cloves minced
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
4 cups cauliflower flowerets
1 1/2 cups green beans -- cut in 1" pieces
2 medium carrots -- sliced
1/4 cup vinegar
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley -- or 2 tsp dried
1. Heat broth, sugar, thyme, garlic and pepper in a saucepan to a boil.
2. Add cauliflower, beans and carrots. Cover and cook over low heat 1 minute or until tender crisp.
3. Place vegetables and broth mixture in a shallow nonmetalic dish. Add vinegar and parsley. Refrigerate at least 12 hours.
