Almond Brown Rice Stuffing

  • 1/3 cup slivered almonds
    2 tsp Smart Spread
    2 medium apples, cored and diced
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1/2 cup chopped celery
    1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
    1/4 tsp thyme
    1/4 tsp white pepper
    1/2 tsp sage
    3 cups cooked brown rice

    Cook and stir almonds in large skillet over medium high heat until brown. Add apples, onion, celery, and seasonings. Cook until vegetables are crisp-tender. Add rice; cook and stir until thoroughly heated. Serve now or bake in covered baking dish at 375* for 15-20 minutes.
